Good point.
Pouliot-RNH-Eberle
Hall-Mcdavid-Yak
Purcell-Lander-Drai
Hendricks-Gordon-Klink
Guess we will have to go with that.
But I can't wait to see that group play on the same ice. - EdmHockeyMan
Gordon's contract is up in 2 years and by that time Yakimov will be 22 and possibly ready for some 4th line action. Tkachev is small and only 19 so even if he develops into an NHL talent he should probably learn the nuances in the developmental league.
Hopefully the Oilers will start developing and not rushing prospects so that the pipeline always has some talent in there. |

Lehner and Cowan FTW - LittleRicky
Meh, I would rather see either Jaybo, Buff, or Chara in an Oiler Uniform.
As for Goalie, Brian Elliott or Lehner sounds good, but remember we need proven, not potential. |

I am pretty sure that we can get him an extension for 2 more years for 2 million per.
If he wants 3-4 million, Chia will gladly show him the door. |

How is Brian Elliot not proven and in what world does Jared Cowan require high end assets to acquire ? |

??? Gordon is aging and he knows that there are players in the pipeline that will challenge his spot. If he wants a big sum of money while we can offer 1/4 of what he wants to another player who is developing nicely, why bother.
Don't forget we are going to need to sign Mcdavid, Yak, Drai, and Nurse in the near future. Unless you are one-dimesional, you should see that coming.

Based on what? Because it can't be his play setting his price if this is the case...?

Who said we would toss big money at Gordon ? Wouldn't Lander make a good replacement for Gordon ? |

I said proven goalies and Elliott IS proven. I think you misread my post. Lehner, however, has shown glimpses of greatness, but he is all potential at this point.
As for the Cowan, my bad. Got carreid away. |

The Cowan / Lehner suggestion was mocking Alfie and in no way serious.
I would go after Niemi |
