Would you trade this year's first ( 23 Rd overall ) for 24 year old Bredan Dillon

No...I think if they were gonna trade him you could do it with a roster player or a prospect.

Despres worked out well for the Ducks . Three Dmen that I really like are Dillon Despres and Engelland .

I would trade the first or Vrbata or whatever it took to get him. 10 years of Dillons toughness in front of the Canucks net was exactly what we have been missing for years. It is also what the Sharks need so I think it would cost a first round pick

I like what he brings but I read some articles about him from a SJ writer who said he didn't have a great year for the Sharks, I think he can be had for less.

But yes, I'd trade Vrbata for another first in a heartbeat.

If he could put up points a first would be fine but since he's basically Sbisa. I don't think your giving up a first for him are you?

I'm just glad grenier is showing some potential.

Some players may actually develop now that there is an actual plan in place for the prospects. Own coach, farm team.

Brendan Dillon is exactly what the blue line needs, no doubt. Trade for #23? No.

If that was the case, then trade #23 to SJ.

This is ridiculous. Stats wise he's nearly identical to Sbisa. I wouldn't be giving up a first for Sbisa. Hell most on here wouldn't give up a 3rd for Sbisa. Only difference is he doesn't play for van so we can't all watch him suck.

He doesn't play enough minutes for 5 million. I like his size and shot. But...

is he better then Tanev, Edler, Hamhuis? would he get paid more then any of them, probably. Not Worth it. I'd take Mcquaid at 3 over franson at 5.

I hope the Lightning bounce the Rangers tonight, last thing I wanna see is Nash and St. Louis raising the Cup.

Look at the defense, do you think Clendening, Stanton or Corrado will play a significant part of a rebuild? Think about the Calgary series.

Calgary had a bunch of offence from their backend, they don't really have a big physical guy back there. Do they?

Edit: Smid is probably their most physical guy and he's a 3.5 million dollar a year version of Sbisa.

I'm with Vantel on Brendan Dillon, not fussy about giving up a first but he's the kind of guy you need back there. Big body, mean streak, and from New West.

I would not argue against that. The guy is a winner personified.

My Cousin played with Toews in North Dakota. He always said the guy just bleeds winning.
