Yeah , JV looks very good. I have slotted him in next year
- VANTEL

Only thing i don't like his positioning away from the puck in the offensive zone, he's usually not open to receive a pass and I'd like to see him around the net more. But off of the rush, he's fantastic with his speed/power/shot and he's even made some nice passes.

He's still in, not having the best game though for sure. Comets can't finish their chances or this one would actually be a decent game.

Franson isn't very good. Its no coincidence that when these leaders are forced to play a 2 way game they suck. Franson is a lazier , dumber, more physical version of Yannik Weber.

He looks like kenins out there. The skill is evident though. But barring a jaw dropping camp, he's pretty far away imo

Jake was their best player...even dropped the gloves to go after the guy that cheap shotted Bobby last game. Pretty decent leader for an 18 year old kid

Listening to the Comets post game, caller complaining about the d not clearing in front of the net and not playing the body enough in their own end... apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

saw this in the Sharks blog:

- Jim Jamieson of The Province floated a fantasy trade involving Hamhuis for Seabrook. Is Hamhuis available? While his age, 32, isn’t really appealing it’s hard to ignore the chemistry he had with Brent Burns at the World’s. Now, making a deal solely off chemistry from an all-star international roster is foolilsh, but the Sharks do need a top four defender – and Hamhuis could be around and able to help for the rest of the Thornton/Marleau years at a friendly cap hit. He’s currently at $4.5M and a UFA after next season. What would the Sharks have to send back? I don’t know, it was a random thought, but he’s a 32 year old pending UFA. He’s not outright attractive, but there may be value in him to stabilize the top four while the kids get better. Probably not, but a thought. - Tim Chiasson

So what would it take??

- GloveHandStrong

Can we just bring Brent Burns to Van to play with Hammer??

What would that take?

About 24 beer prior to the phone call with Benning, would be my guess

JB Knows the position from his playing days. Fixing it should be priority #1.

What's the deal with Victor Tikonhov with the Coyotes. He never played for them and I don't see him under contract with them . Drafted 2008

Edit: he did play for them but opted for KHL

Comets also missing Pedan due to injury, not sure if it is a concussion or what.

yeah, I think our d needs lots of work and hope they don't say signing Weber is a step in that direction.

I think him and Shirokov were playing for team Russia/KHL just recently.

As Ek has said, there may be a few KHL guys coming to North America with the poor exchange on the ruble.

That's because he sucked for them. Had a bad first year for them and after that he couldn't even make the team.
