If Arizona dangled the pick, they'd get a bidding war and get a lot more than just a 2nd for that pick. If NHL scouts know much about these guys, that's essentially like trading for a 1st overall most years.

Definitely. No way Arizona trades the 3rd overall pick for just the 36th and 156th overall picks. That being said, to guarantee us Strome, I'd be willing to trade away both our 2nd rd picks. I'd like to get Arizona's 3rd rd pick coming back in addition to the 3rd overall, but I really feel like Strome is going to be a very good to elite #1 center and coming away from the draft with a 1st line center that could probably step right into the NHL lineup next year would be a win no matter who else we draft with the rest of our picks.
He probably won't be able to handle top line duties right away, but we could easily slot him into a3 rd line center role or maybe as a LW on the 2nd line.
A lineup of:
Cammalleri-Zajac-UFA
Strome-Elias-Matteau
Henrique-Gomez-Bernier
Boucher-Josefson-Tootoo
Ex. Gionta, Zubrus, Tootoo
That would be acceptable imo. You could move a few guys around depending on how the guys are paying and who shows chemistry together, but having these guys as our 12 forwards would be ok with me for next year.
