Michael,

As usual, another SOLID blog. And I couldn't agree more with the last few words of your piece. While I was hoping that Babcock was going to join the Sabres, I quickly got over the disappointment of us losing out to the centre-of-the-universe Leafs. Life is too short to think about "should have beens" and "could have beens". Babcock chose the Leafs - end of story. Time to move on and hire somebody else. End of story. Also, no regrets. The Pegulas and GMTM put their best foot forward.

Quite honestly, I am amused when I read my fellow Sabre fans still talking about the Myers+ trade for Kane/Bogo. Whether I agreed with it or not, to me it is irrelevant at this time. It is done. The past is the past. Let's focus on the future. And boy what an exciting future we have as Sabres fans. Whomever we hire as coach is one lucky person. I have all the faith in the world that GMTM and Mr. Pegula will make a very good choice at head coach (and assistants).

Time to move on from Babcock, Myers, "no goal" and any other bad memory from the past. It's all about the future baby

Michael, keep up the great work......

I readily admit I'm more relaxed than the average ref. But people could at least have the decency to reward my laxness by being funny. I feel like I'm just being taken advantage of.

You wanted to be taken advantage of earlier. Change of heart?

The one I quoted was one of their refs (I believe).
It was yesterday during BABWATCH.

Random thought but I notice Stone,Hoffman and Zibanejad are all RFA's. Sens aren't exactly a big money team. certainly fits the criteria of what TM would be looking for.

might be the smart play, buy low and hope he turns it around

I wonder what we'd have to give up for Stone/Hoffman, Lehner and a d-man

The sabres are professionals. The media on the other hand are usually a bunch of (frank)ing clowns. Did you give a listen to Murray's interview from this afternoon?
- TheSabresTaco

Yeah, thats why i said his reaction was professional. What I meant to say with that post was that the apparent "uproar" by the Sabres is more driven by the media rather than the actual reaction. But seems like everyone here already knows that, I guess I'm just not that familiar with sabres media, haha.

I'd pass on him, I think he's average. We don't need him.

They're incredibly high on Stone. Hoffman, I don't think it's necessary to trade for a guy like that. But getting Stone would be an absolute steal.

On the flip side, I highly doubt Murray or anyone to admit to throwing a hissy fit if they did so, after all was said and done.

I know the price is sky high, but im thinking the fact that some of them may be his guys is enough to make him want to pay it.

Ya their is a reason they made him wait a day to cool off and collect his thoughts. He seems to be super impulsive when it's a heated moment. Even said so him self when refering to his lottery comments.
