Putin did score 8 goals recently in an exhibition game if nobody heard.

If you're on the other team, are you gonna try to stop him? I mean, it would be a great story to tell to the KGB agents who grab you on your way to the work camp. |

so it's $3mil for 1 year. The HF boards guy who broke the news almost 2 hours before the announcement is pretty confident that Zaitsev is also coming to the Flyers. - JAKEw1234
If the Flyers sign another Russian, I might not be able to handle it.

Del Zotto played very well last year. His skillset seems to be a good fit with the way Hakstol wants to play. Wouldn't make much sense if they let Del Zotto walk, while having redundant mastodons in L. Schenn and Grossmann. - PLindbergh31
I would think this would not effect Del Zotto. If Medvedev is indeed a good skater, I think Del Zotto and Medvedev might be more the type of guy Hakstol is looking for.
I'm really interested to see what if anything the Flyers could get for:
Luke Schenn
Nick Grossmann
Andrew MacDonald
Side note, the Flyers made out really well in that Timonen deal. Maybe Hextall can pull that type of deal with a couple of the above guys. |

You know what? I think they already know they have a home for at least two of Grossmann, Schenn and MacDonald, and maybe all three - AllInForFlyers
The thing is, it's not like they're career ahl'ers, they all can play a role and be effective. It's just finding the right market for them to all thrive.

The Blackhawks would've rather played any of those three over Kyle Cumiskey last night, I can tell you that much

And that's the truth. Key is finding a team to trade with. Colorado, Columbus, dallas, Edmonton, and Carolina are all teams that need help on the blue line, and each of those 3, i could see filling a void for some of those teams. |

Exactly -- you go into it, as a fan, with your expectations of a modest return, then you get to pleasantly surprised when Chicago and Tampa give you more than you think
Though, for the record, I always maintained that Coburn was getting a first, which he should have -- that wasn't an overpayment

Yeah we got gudas too though. I think it was a slight overpayment, but with amac, i don't care what the return is, it's gonna be good to get that (frank)ing awful contract off the books. Grossman, I'd say try to get a fair return. Schenn, he's still young, so I'd say to try to get as much of a return as possible. Get's something that's worth it. If not, keep him, see how he does with hakstol

Keith played 50 minutes last night. Essentially he played two NHL games in one night. Has to be physically and mentally draining. |

Yup
Flyers had the same prob in 2010; nada after the top 4. Even if they get past Anaheim, they may have nothing left in the tank for the finals |

I don't love the guy, but I have always respected his fitness level. But I just don't see how you play that many minutes against a team as physical as Anaheim and that not impact you moving forward
If that dude is an impact player the next game or two, I will come on here and profess profound admiration and respect for him as a player, because that game was as physical as it gets -- the way Jones and Milbury were talking after it, they were hinting that they felt like that was Chicago's last stand

Chicago is getting a taste of the Flyers in 2010 altho a 40 yo Timonen as the 5 is better than what the Flyers had. |

My worst fear is a fresh Rags team waiting for a beat up depleted Hawks team. It can't go down that way. If the Bolts win tonight, I think at the very least it's a 7 game series. But for TB to win the series, they must do it in 6. They won't win a game 7 at MSG. |

I want Chicago to get that 2nd round pick from them but if the Rangers win I have to admit I almost want Anaheim because I think they can beat the Rangers whereas I think the Hawks will be spent |
