If he wasn't coming here I am thrilled that he goes to Toronto. They now have a bunch of guys that have never been a GM anywhere and who probably won't rebuild the right way.

I'm disappointed in not landing Babcock. He is a great coach. I'm less upset about losing out on Babcock than I am losing out on McDavid, but the coping mechanism is laughable. To think that Babcock won't improve Toronto is asinine. Will he get them a Cup? I have no idea, but Toronto won't be the dumpster fire they have been lately.

Will he help the team right now? Sure. But it is almost impossible to win a championship these days without spending at least a couple of seasons at the bottom and I think this is why they will be hurting their future.

I have no problem with him doing that. It is what the team is paying him to do.

How much input do you give Babcock? Do you give him final say, or an equal say?

It would take all of one or two players before there would be friction when he says he wants a guy and Murray says all indications are that guy is garbage.

After the relationship with Nolan, they need a coach that will be on the same page and not battling the GM all the time.
