The person who I think is the best comparison for him is Peca. He plays a game that's just so similar, I get the feeling when all is said and done that's what we get out of him. And if that's the case, I'll take it.

Only name I heard and that was 2 weeks ago was Luke Richardson, that was before they talked to Babcock.

I'm on the fence about bringing in another vet Dman. If you do that, you're pushing out one of the young guys. I'd almost rather just let them grow this year by playing because we all know that they're not making the playoffs. Let them get the experience and grow into the vet Dman we need. Without even bringing anyone in we have:

Gorges
Ristolainen
Bogosian
Pysyk
Ruhwedel
McCabe
Zadorov

McCabe can go back to the A, not sure if Ruhwedel needs to clear waivers or not. Zadorov could probably go to the A as well, but there's definitely a logjam of sorts. It'll be interesting to see what they do.

Ruhwedel was the only one of those guys you listed I wasn't sure about. I knew the rest had to clear waivers to go down. Ruhwedel's situation isn't exactly the same due to being a college UFA signing years ago.
