You could slice it a lot of different ways. Babcock has had marginal success after his original core retired. Also, I saw an article the other day that compared Babcock and Hitchcock. Their records were eerily similar but you don't see people clammoring for Hitch.

Systems are implemented by coaches, it's up to the players to execute come playoff time.

GR makes me LOL, they are for the most part just fans like everyone else. They really have no insight on any sport. It gets pretty annoying seem them talk about anythign non football and hockey

The Sabres believe they will get him. They definetly have offered the best deal, if his family doesn't want to come ,then that is a different story

It's either the Juniors or Europe, just like it was after the Islanders. He's a great kids coach I think. Has all the qualities to push kids to excelling. But when it comes to systems... he's unqualified.

But I have to tell you, based strictly on not much more than instincts, I could see Babcock ending up in BUF. Like I said, just a hunch.
