Just keep him, sign him for around 3 years. You're a rebuilding team, who gives a poop if your goaltending sucks or not. |

How about somebody that can stop a puck? - Jrw10
I think Bernier can do that. |

Schneider played for playoff teams. Bernier has proven he can take a starters load on one or the biggest piles of poop in the league and put up decent numbers. Bernier is very comparable to Schneider, and there's going to be GM's who view it equally and are willing to invest in him. - joel878
Bernier was not treated like a starter last year, he didn't play more than 4 in a row. Reimer was used to protect him and took all the seconds of back to backs. He stole zero hockey games but came out of his sheltered season with a good save percentage. This year they gave him more games in a row and more responsibility and he couldn't handle it. The team is bad but he was every bit a big player in that reality, blowing at least 5 games all by himself and again, stealing zero. He is the perfect backup and plays better with fewer starts. Schneider is so much better than Bernier it's laughable... |

If people think Bernier stinks, then I think they might think this team is far better than it is. What do you expect from a goalie?
This time last year people were so happy with Bernier. You can't give up after a season in which he regresses, yet still puts up respectable numbers on a terrible team. |

You'll get a first most likely, and a prospect who's value will have to outweigh any salary holdback or bad contract in return. |

I wouldn't write Bernier off. Let's get some real dmen that can help Bernier avoid getting 40+ shots on him every damn game first.. |

I don't think he stinks...I would trade the Habs 2nd rounder for him. |
