The ufa market is weak in general is weak this year, i'd take a run at Ramo as ufa goalies go.... but there's plenty on the trade front. We just need someone to tandem with Stalock next year, not saying Bernier's bad but that i think the Sharks would prefer a bigger goalie than going after Bernier that's all. We already have a 6fter in Stalock & not sure we'd like a 6fter tandem of Bernier & Stalock IMO.

People give up on players WAY too easily. Bernier's numbers aresolid the past two seasons. He was actually very good a year ago and he's sill young.

If the best they can do is a 2nd, then it makes more sense to keep him on a 2-3 year deal. His value is bound to be much higher than a 2nd round pick at some point during that contract.
