If he has declined contract extensions with Detriot for over a year now I would still think he has interest in going somewhere else. Whether that is Buffalo or not I don't know. But he had some quotes in that interview that make you think he wants to move on, while there were other times it looked like he was just fine staying with the Red Wings. He hiding his intentions pretty well.

For double the Detroit offer, he'll be here. In other interviews he's concerned about Detroit's aging stars.

Stan Fishler thinks Babcock is leaving Detroit for what it's worth, which is not much. For the money and the change, reinvigoration. Media are just throwing crap at the wall and seeing if it sticks.

This playoff schedule is incredibly annoying.
