I wonder with the Canadiens severing ties with veterans Manny Malhotra, Sergei Gonchar and Mike Weaver if we'd be interested in any of them? - oranje_blue91
Nope. Malholtra's job is covered by a combination of Gordon, Hendricks, and maybe Lander. Gonchar is so old, but if it's a one year term and for bottom pairing dollars. No to Weaver.

I'd be intrigued in Gonchar as a guy to push ferrence to 7th d or Nikitin to the Siberian Hockey League if it was cheap an a 1 year deal to teach Schultz, Nurse, Klefbom and Marincin how to play defence in the NHL

I'd only bring him in if Ference is gone from Edmonton for good Nikitin is better by a mile and his contract is up at the end of the year.
Yo, Alfie! How about I answer every Oilers question you have right now?
Hall- The team's best player. Not likely to be moved but with his injury history, he would be the first guy I- not every Oilers fan- look at moving. The guy doesn't have an attitude issue, in fact, far from. Hardest working guy on the Oilers aside from Yak and just like Yak, the hard work is just directed in the wrong places sometimes.
Nuge- #2 or #3 on the untouchables list behind McDavid and whichever of Nurse or Klefbom you value more (Klefbom personally, but that's no slight to Nurse). Brilliant young C who took a massive step this season. Controlled the play on his line in the latter half of the season. Really pushed the river. He's quiet so no perceived attitude issue here.
Eberle- The most contested of the three top forwards. Can at times look lazy, but is by no means "a problem" on this team. Has a good locker room presence and handles the press like a captain would. Has consistently showed scoring touch and has shown a lot durability despite taking similar abuse. Seems like the most likely to be moved, but that doesn't mean he should be.

thanks ... now that's a what I'm looking for. I appreciate your perspective. Wow surprised about the Klefbolm praise - I saw him more as a top 4 D man with a lot of offensive upside. But I really don't have enough of an accurate idea of him at this point
