Yo, Alfie! How about I answer every Oilers question you have right now?
Hall- The team's best player. Not likely to be moved but with his injury history, he would be the first guy I- not every Oilers fan- look at moving. The guy doesn't have an attitude issue, in fact, far from. Hardest working guy on the Oilers aside from Yak and just like Yak, the hard work is just directed in the wrong places sometimes.
Nuge- #2 or #3 on the untouchables list behind McDavid and whichever of Nurse or Klefbom you value more (Klefbom personally, but that's no slight to Nurse). Brilliant young C who took a massive step this season. Controlled the play on his line in the latter half of the season. Really pushed the river. He's quiet so no perceived attitude issue here.
Eberle- The most contested of the three top forwards. Can at times look lazy, but is by no means "a problem" on this team. Has a good locker room presence and handles the press like a captain would. Has consistently showed scoring touch and has shown a lot durability despite taking similar abuse. Seems like the most likely to be moved, but that doesn't mean he should be.

ya that's a problem...at all. it's not that serious - AlfieisKing
A problem at all, can't say I'm familiar with that phrase. It's been 3 months and he still has symptoms. Until he can ride an exercise bike he won't be traded. |

I'd go even further, he doesn't show he can play a full season (even in a back up roll), I wouldn't touch him.
He's got more of a chance to never play again than he does of becoming the next Roy/Hasek/Price like some people seem to think. |

So you're saying he could be the second coming of DiPietro? |

McDavid- (frank)ing hockey jesus. No more questions.
Yak- Much maligned by many, but just as loved by the rest. Ridiculous work ethic and genuinely loves the game. His problems- as I mentioned with Hall- are that his work ethic is regularly pointed without direction. Saw him begin to succeed again once Nelson took over and gave him more structure to work with but still a work in progress. Has some value in a trade but the return would almost assuredly not match his potential.
Draisaitl- Our safest bet at one of those ever so rare big Cs. Hard to imagine him being traded considering his competition as a big C within the organization (Yakimov is his competition). Excellent playmaker who excels down-low and has the mind and ability to be an excellent two-way C.
Pouliot- A guy who looks to be a fixture in our top-9 for years to come. Complimented Nuge and Eberle immensely in the latter half of the year and will likely at least start with them as a 2nd line behind McDavid. |

it's called multi-tasking... maybe one day you'll be able to do it too - AlfieisKing
Well if you are one of the 2% of the population that can actually successfully multitask, then bravo. However I am pretty sure that you are in the 98% that is random task switching, but just thinks they are multitasking. |

He does probably have a bright future if his health holds up but I don't see anybody ponying up any prize to get him until he's healthy. |

Klefbom- Stand-out of the season without a doubt. Took over top pairing minutes against second line competition and excelled despite playing alongside Schultz (who has been known to sink linemates). May have gone as far as to pass Nurse on the long term depth chart- and that's no slight to Nurse. Un-(frank)ing-touchable.
Schultz- Easily the most maligned player on the roster. Makes a fair deal of mistakes and just doesn't do enough offensively to make up for them. Still has some potential but- much like Yak- wouldn't bring enough back in return to justify moving him.
Nurse- Top pairing talent who plays a game similar to Klefbom but with less poise and more snarl. Barring a Weber or Doughty coming back, no chance he moves.
Marincin- Most likely of young D to be moved for an upgrade. Positionally strong and a good stick. Excels at possession hockey but can't seem to translate that into points in any meaningful or consistent way. Could see him go alongside a 1st in a big acquisition. |
