I don't think you understand. You said earlier that Sharp and Bickell would be moved BEFORE they move Seabrook. So, if Jones is so good, why wouldn't they move Josi, Ellis, etc BEFORE they move Jones?

Because two of their top 4 scorers are Dmen. I don't see it as a rash franchise altering trade. With Jones out you can get a D back - like a Jared Cowen to fill a hole and add a big piece up front

They just finished 3rd in the West and you want them to trade a 20 year old defensemen who has all the tools to be a number 1 defenseman before he's even close to hitting his prime. Replacing Seth Jones with Jared Cowen is the equivalent of replacing Ovechkin with Yakupov.

I didn't get that right away - since those examples have different positions and reasons (cap space for CHI) but ok fair point.

Josi isn't going anywhere. That guy had a better season than Weber (statistically). It also comes down to where a guy fits in. Seabrook has no one behind him on that right side that can play with Keith. Sure Hjram can come over but not the same. The preds need more up front right now and don't need to have two guys like Weber or Jones. Obviously it's great to have but the team is so strong on the blueline that spreading the talent level may finally help them become more balanced - that's my best guess
