I don't feel there's anything to "give up" on. Moreover it's only a select few who get weird and rude. Also how the heck is it a stretch to think a 3 way deal could be worked out with three teams like NSH, EDM, OTT

Who says that the Oilers want Jones? I know its your pipe dream, but how is a second year defenseman going to improve, with veteran presence, the glaring top-2 dman hole on the Oilers blueline?

Hall is certainly our best player.
But I don't think this makes eberle expendable all of a sudden.

He's our truest sniper and yaks has certainly not proven he's good enough to assume he can make enough impact where we throw a much lesser guy as our 2rw.
Eberle is far and away the superior scorer right now.

People were chirping about ebs early in the season and he ended up being our leading scorer, most dangerous offensive threat and one if the leagues leaders in the 2nd half.

You trade him before yaks proves he can put up serious numbers, and you essentially change our top 6 rw from a position of semi strength to a position of weakness before a game is even played

I'm not saying to trade him, just that he has more value than Yakupov if we were to trade him.

And if my goal is to fill that top pairing D from the trade, it'd be a hell of a lot easier creating a package around Eberle than Yakupov to do so.
