I'm starting to hate the term "core" almost as much as the term "untouchables". Not entirely sure why.
I completely understand and agree. One thing we could look into is whether or not Marincin has been put into any positions to produce offensively. PP time? I know he had tough zone starts.
He is a solid trade chip. And if him and the 16th or 33rd pick gets us a solid improvement, I'll be happy, but, he shouldn't be the first name brought up. - ChetManly
I'm not a fan of the "core" either, hence the parenthesis. Well at 5v5 here's some points/60 to frame it a bit.
Boyd Gordon - 0.87
Matt Hendricks - 0.80
Rob Klinkhammer - 0.71
Luke Gazdic - 0.61
Martin Marincin - 0.36
Keith Aulie - 0.14

McDavid isn’t even officially Oilers property but barring a Pete Chiarelli mental breakdown, he will be.
I found that very funny
On McDavid coming to turn around the franchise... agree 100%, it's for real. And the city and the TRUE fans that have been here deserve it.
Things have moved so fast - and I agree with the assessment that Nurse and McDavid are the best forward and Dman in the CHL - but how about Peter Chiarelli. A year ago him, Holland, Bowman, and lombardi would be part of an untouchable list of managers. This is all great news for the Oilers.
I'd like to see a 3 way deal between Ottawa and Nashville. It would see Seth Jones and Robin Lehner landing in Edmonton with one or two forwards+ going out (not McDavid and 1 other untouchable)
who would be the next person on YOUR untouchable list? - AlfieisKing
I have to give you credit, you don't (frank)ing give up no matter how many times, no matter how many different ways, no matter how many people say it. You just won't take no for an answer

Just putting this out there...Jay Boumeester was 0.34 Chara was 0.44 - ChetManly
They both did have the worst seasons of their careers. Like I said, not knocking him for it but it is the reason that he's a second tier prospect for the Oilers.

Can't believe you guys talk hockey on here. Usually I just stop by everyday and lurk to laugh my ass off. Or Tanners blog when you guys show up there. Definitely one of the funniest blogs on here.
