I think Chara is starting to regress. The B's need one of their other dmen to step up and anchor the D. I still think the Boychuck trade was stupid on the Bruins part. It did not need to be done. They could have put Marc Savard on IR on the last day of training camp like the Flyers did. They would have been fine.

I think Chara was exposed for the first time in a long time in the 2013 cup finals when Chicago chipped pucks behind him every play and went straight at him and forced him to move his feet. Nobody had done that since he was developing out of NYI/OTT, everyone was so deathly afraid to go to his end of the ice and they would just avoid him

Since then you notice the book is out on him. He just doesnt move well and either gets burned or takes more interference/holding/hooking penalties

Blockbuster deal... you can have Lucic, Chara, and Krecji for Tavares, Okposo, and Boychuk

Man, none of those guys have ever come close to the totals Louis put up. No ones given this guy a chance, he got his brain scrambled almost immediately upon arrival and finally started finding his game at the end of the year. He'll be our highest scoring winger again next year

Like jvr alot, the only leaf besides rielly i don't hate...but it says something when pretty much the only huge selling point on him is his contract. He's got 30g/60pts once, and it was bang on. That's in a system of throw defense out the window and go all offense. Without fatso, how would he do? In an actual system where he has to backcheck, how does he do?

Lucic gets heckled alot, but he's had a few 60 pts seasons, also scored 30 once and overall better numbers than jvr. plus he's an actual power forward.

jvr is a beauty and should net us our biggest return, but does his contract not make him a tad overrated?
