He can take the summer to enjoy Brooklyn's sights, enjoy a microbrew IPA and chow down on a deconstructed pork-belly sandwich before checking out this totally killer jam band playing at Prospect Park. - eichiefs9

Time for the Bruins to tear it all down and see if they can get anything for Chara, Seidenberg, Rask, Lucic et all while they can. Rebuild around Hamilton, Morrow, Pastrnak, Subban that Rushian on the AHL team. Move on from being the wienerheads of the league and build a team thats fun to watch not just a bunch of glorified goons. - Dcoms
yeah that makes sense |

Brooklyn gets a bad rap for being a hipster-haven. Yeah, they're there. But there's some pretty cool stuff there also. |

Blockbuster deal... you can have Lucic, Chara, and Krecji for Tavares, Okposo, and Boychuk - mixturebill
LOL
Chara is an anchor at this point. Nobody is trading anything of significance for him.
He makes too much, he's declining too rapidly, and nobody is trading any young assets to get him |

Ugh, don't say that, WAY to many people would be ok with that. He's our best winger and everyone thinks he's junk just cus we traded Seguin for him |

If Chara and Seidenberg can return to form (putting those odds at 50/50) I see no reason the B's can't be a cup / pres trophy contender. Elite goalie? Check. Elite C's? Check. Forward depth? Check. Need more goal scoring but I think full seasons out of Connolly, Pastrnak, Krejci and Spooner will take care of that for the most part. This is still a good team |

I'm pretty sure he didn't have knee surgery this year. I'm also pretty sure they said the ligament in his leg is permanently torn, and cannot be repaired via surgery. I don't see him getting any better next year, regardless of how many times he says he's going to return to form. I think it's a pipe dream, and one that's going to hurt the Bruins for as long as he continues to play. |

Seidenberg was pretty much in full swing at the end of last year, and I thought he looked really good. I think he'll be in tip top shape next season. |

Even at 100% healed, hes a year older and will turn 39 in the upcoming season.
He was already a step slow before the injury, now he will be lucky to get back to being only 1 step slow
He also scored at his lowest PPG rate since 01-02 in Ottawa
This last part is pure speculation, but he will be like Hal Gill and suddenly fall off the cliff
Chara barely jumps into the play anymore because he knows if someone gets a half step on him, he is either taking a penalty or the guy is gone for a breakaway |

Haha I wasn't trying to be snarky... I'm just not 100% sure on the surgery/permanently torn thing, so I don't want to state them as facts in case my memory is not serving me correctly. |

How did that bar "the penalty box" right near the TD centre ever close? I went there before a game a few years ago...place was very elegant |

I think Chara is starting to regress. The B's need one of their other dmen to step up and anchor the D. I still think the Boychuck trade was stupid on the Bruins part. It did not need to be done. They could have put Marc Savard on IR on the last day of training camp like the Flyers did. They would have been fine. |

"During that same summer, the Bruins were very close to moving Tim Thomas, who was an absolute disaster in 2009-10"
Remember Timmys white mask? Word was he was pissed at the Bruins for wanting to trade him, thought he would be traded, so made sure his mask was not black and gold.
