So this ensures all of the Rags/Caps games will be 1 goal games.

It ensures the Rangers will have played all 1 goal games in every game of their first two rounds.

It ensures a golden goal game 7

???

Is there something special about the pending winning goal...

...besides it being the winning goal?

Majority of the 1998-1999 season team. Me and my sis with Robitaille and Blake
Just to name a few players Ray Ferraro 26, Glen Murray 27, Ollie Jokinen 12, Nordstrom, Blake, Steve Duchesne 28.
Rogue Vachon after my family had dinner with him and Leiweke. Oh not to mention 2 game used sticks that were given to my sis and I from Robitaille and Blake.

Nope. Just love Game 7 Golden Goal OT games.....Pretty rare in that the next goal literally decides the winner and loser of the entire series.

Good stuff.

I've been following the Hawks for many decades, but never collected anything but a few ticket stubs.

So the "golden goal" is the series winning OT goal?

I didn't know it had a name.

Yeah I have plenty of those too lol.

👍🏻

Rubber duckies and yzermanneely are pretty rediculous duck fans. Constantly harassing kings fans and now hawk fans.

"Attached you will find a photo of game used (my game) goalie leg pad signed by all but a few St. Louis Blues players from their trip to Sweden last year. The pad is also signed by HOF Chopper and President JD. All of the signatures were obtained at a team/fan lunch in Sweden prior to the Blues vs. Red Wings games last fall.

Not only is it a great keepsake of our trip but it also solidifies the legendary status of my wife as it was her idea. Of course, the pad had its own suitcase for travel. Part of the fun of this piece is the looks of surprise and comments we received from Blues players, front office staff and fans, especially when they learned it was my wife's idea. One significant member of the Blues organization had my favorite comment, noting that there were not many puck marks on the pad. Luckily I could reply that I only used it for one ice game and the rest were roller hockey games. Roller pucks don't generally leave as many marks, lol. "

Both goalies are doing a great job controlling or eliminating rebounds.

I doubt that he'd be play even if available...

...perhaps brought up as a late black ace, but that is all.

But ya never know...

yeah...another vintage orpik cheap shot...hitting a vulnerable player...

boyle's head was down as he extended for the puck and orpik took full advantage to head shot him....

of course he is...

i don't think it was a penalty...boyle put himself in that position but orpik never misses the a chance to unload when a guy is vulnerable...

the king is saving their blue asses...by far the caps have had the quality chances and shots...

Good ...... (frank) Ovie &Orpik!.....Books Orpik is the exact reason why I hate the shackles on fighting. Players like him, hide behind " the shackles". Mil bury even said in the intermission, Orpik will never man up and answer the bell!

they finally get a rebound chance and he burried it...after the rangers got whipped most of this game they get the winner...

what a game...

and i look forward to post game interview with ovie....he played well but him and any other player are complete IDIOTS to guarantee anything about a games outcomes...

I don't believe in "bulletin board material" in any of the pro games: does anyone really think the Rags were so pissed at Ovechkin's comment that they played harder or focused more?

He had the balls to comment - he scored their only goal - only a missed assignment on the Hayes goal kept it from being the game-winner.

I like Ovechkin - plays hard, usually plays well, crosses the line sometimes, but not a butcher/goon - has enough confidence to make the comment. He had a helluva season.

Millbury was right a minute ago, when asked what he learned from this game - he said it made him remember how great a game hockey is.
