So I don't post here much just usually lurk but just wanted to pass along something I was told was absolutely credible from a person in the know with the Sabres about an hour ago. Babcock coming here is a done deal. I didn't get the length of contract but it's worth $6 million/yr. Deal will be announced Monday when everyone returns from the World Championships. Thought you guys might wanna know so don't shoot the messenger!

He's got some potential, but has a lot of developing still to do.
And I think his ceiling is a 2nd pair guy.
I think both Zadorov & McCabe have top pair potential,
But if we trade one of them, we better hope the other comes through.
That's why it makes me so nervous to trade any of our defense.
A future strength can become a weakness pretty quick
