Can you show me where he said he's only there to see Eichel?

Again you Detroit fans are just grasping for air knowing your runs deep into the playoffs are over and your coach sees it too. I mean why else would he be interviewing with other teams?

Like I said whether he ends up here or not nobody knows who he is going to see. A trip around the world to see just one player is a waste of money and time. I am sure he is scouting several players.

and why exactly are Detroit's playoff runs ending? Seems to me that they have a pretty good core of young players in place and getting more soon.

So who replaces Zetteberg and Datsyuk? Just making the playoffs with them on their roster (and a first round exit). Id love to see Tater and Nyquist fill their roles and be successful at it.

They are losing 2 all world players and barely made the playoffs this season. They are due for a real rebuild.

Yes since I don't even live near Detroit...you must be the village idiot

- dcz28

Obviously I couldn't care less where you live.

You're obviously jealous we're drafting Eichel, and bitter - even though you say you don't care - that your coach thinks that the Sabres, Oilers or Leafs are going to be better options than Detroit.

Neither Tatar or Nyquist play center so neither would replace Datsyuk or Zetterberg. Before the month of March the Wings were fighting Montreal and Tampa for first in the East and the was without Franzen since January. Wings have a farm system full of good prospects and plenty of young players already on their roster.

You talk as if Datsyuk and Zetterberg are gone this summer which is not the case. Wings just need to keep plugging in some of their young players and add a couple of pieces through trades or UFA.

Yes that must be it...I'm jealous the Wings didn't purposely tank and get the #2 overall pick. Man do I wish the Wings were as crappy as the Sabres Who wants to watch the team they cheer for winning cups and make the playoffs for 24 straight years.

The Wings style of play the last few years is a bit of a concern to me as they seem to pass the puck backwards as much as they do forwards, and it feels like watching a soccer game quite often.

No one here cares.

Your amusing need to defend your team, farm system, coach's trip agenda, what positions certain players play, Larkin's weight, where YOU live, etc. - not to mention correcting another poster's typo - just goes to show the arrogance and classlessness
with which you barrel into this thread with.

They play a puck possession style and every team that plays that style does it to keep possession of the puck instead of just dumping it forward when there is no room. That started with the Russian 5 and has stayed as part of the Wings style of play. You see more and more teams do this now.

Pointing out one, little grammatical error. Very classy. What education system did you graduate from? You clearly don't have a strength in reading comprehension, because not once did it say Babcock was clearly going to watch Eichel. All it says is that he would leave with an impression, because he will clearly see him will watching his main target, Larkin. Don't blame the blogger, he thinks up some good blogs.

So typos can apparently happen regardless of which educational system you graduated from. Good to know.

Your amusing need to continue to try and say that you don't care yet you keep replying show just how much you really do care.

It's not arrogance and classlessness it's just that I seem to be dealing with clueless and ignorant people like you. Some of you are amusing though I will give you that.

OK, let's stop this pointless bickering.

Here is the deal the Wings fans are annoyed that every little aspect gives canvases a hope that Babcock will land, but they casn do what they want. Show me a Sabres, Leafs, Philly blog and they are guesses using "potential" as to why he will go there, again do as you must.

Babcock is a great coach, however much of his results at the NHL level were during prime years of Zetterberg, Datsyuk and Lidstrom... To say that he made them better, not sure. I think they were well on their way... Particularly where Babcock himself was quoted many times that his top two lines he let's loose, meaning no game plan..... Meaning, those guys were just that good.

SO

That means that Babcock had enhanced a culture more so than made it... Meaning, justvlike Scotty Bowman he is easily replaceble because the DET is transitioning, so a fresh voice may work.

I am ready to move on to Blashill who knows the old fellers, made the
young guys pros and Champs. Babcock's fierce loyalty tonguys like Bertuzzi, Clearly, Samuelson and Ericsson has put a real sour taste in swings fans mouths.

Here is what I will say in closing.....

Your getting a great coach, but most of the youth he got was already developed so I cannot say I have seen much work with youth from him but I have seen him ruin potential picking med. Vets over playing youth.

I trust the Wings system more than any coach or player not names Zetterberg, Datsyuk or Kronwall. Best of luck Babs.... To everyone else, enjoy the diva and heartbreak when you see what Wings knew for a few seasons.... When the best GM is willing to let him walk, that is telling
