Toronto is getting ready to start what Buffalo is trying to finish, money is on Buffalo or back to Detriot. 500k isnt worth two to three extra years on a rebuild.

Murray said he won't speak to Eichel till the combine. What he says and does could be two different things.

It doesn't even have to be that. Eichel has people in his own camp. They're probably connected. I'm sure scouts and other personnel have people connected to that camp (they'd be stupid not to). It could be a matter of "trust me, the kid isn't staying in college". There are ways of finding out without directly asking the player.

Can NHL teams even talk to draft eligible college players outside the proper NHL parameters (i.e. Draft combine, etc)?

That's why I'm asking.

It's completely diluted. Each player and coach pays taxes in every state and province they play in, and get foreign and resident tax credits in their home country, state or province against those amounts so it's not completely cut and dry.

31st or 21st. There isn't really that much of a difference in this draft. Honestly besides Mathews next year how does the draft in 2016 look? I'd give up that 1st for him and move 21st plus for a top pairing D.

Top10 is pretty strong. A couple really nice defensemen could be there for us.
Without some major moves, I see us picking around 7th
