Observation, they are supposed to have objective announcers on NBC to cover games, and Micheletti felates the canadiens all night long. Brutal...

His hitting dropped off a bit in G4...guessing future preservation was the reason...that's all we were referencing. Agreed on Bick's positioning, he was good defensively and kept plays alive offensively.

Glad we're no longer seeing the big, looping battleship turns out of him--not that we should ever see that in the playoffs from anyone.

- grinder10

i got that part grinder. Bicks puts a lot of his hits on D-men after the puck has been passed. I was saying that they really were playing D as a total 6 man unit and one player out of position throws all the gaps off.

Though I am sure he might have been a tad sore for all the hitting he did in the 1st 2 games.

Yes, at the TDL. I don't believe anything was said about not trading him in the summer
- ehawk

Yes. Summer TDL - ahead of July 1. Will look for the cite.

EDIT: article - Sharp's agent denies and Blackhawks refuse to comment (but around the same time denied other players like Saad were tradable). Silence re Sharp was v telling. Think JJ also mentioned the discrepancy in denials in his blogs around that time as well.

Sometimes I really wish there was a "like" button on HB! Guess I'll have to settle for

Seems Bishop gives up some glove goals - Price some short-side goals.

As always, I enjoyed reading the insights from many of you.

I hope the coaches were able to help Rundblad improve his game in his own end since we last saw him play. As critical as I was of 32 during the regular season, he was providing 18 solid minutes a game until he got hurt. I think the first time I believed he could still play was when he was able to catch up to Darren Helm.

I must be crazy, but I keep holding out hope that 44 will get better as the playoffs progress. They will really need something from him now.

I am glad the Hawks D is getting plenty of rest.

Didn't Kesler usually match up against Toews when he was a Canuck?

I used to love the Canuck match ups with the Hawks. Kessler usually matched up against Toews' line while Bolland tormented the "brothers".

If any coaching staff can overcome the loss of Rosi with seventh and eighth defensemen its this coaching staff who are hands down the best of all staffs of teams still in the playoffs, if not the NHL,

It looks as though he Hawks did a great job of playing possum in the regular season then turning on the proverbial, switch just like many Hawk Fans predicted. They sure fooled many so called experts who wrote the Hawks off as too old, too slow and too antiquated in their style of play.

So 2012. Crawfords mental toughness has been rock solid for a long time now

Remind me of the rock solid decision process that caused him to miss games due to an off ice incident
