Then next year you'll be here calling him out as a clipboard holder like the rest of them. They're not good qbs. What's the point?

No. I think it's definitely a "must win" game for Buffalo now. If they can't beat NE without Brady and with all the talent currently on that roster, then it's going to be another long year.

Rex is actually upset about Brady being suspended. He said he wants to beat the Pats WITH Brady, not without.

- HonkFortheGoose

Sure, but at the same time I'm well past moral victories. Take the opportunity to beat them in week 2, then gear up to go after Ms Buenchen when the rematch pops up.

Better then what we have now, at least he can move the team down the field. I didn't have a problem with Orton just the way he left I did.
- SABRES 89

Orton was awful.

I can't believe people are rewriting history already with him

The only place Macaroni salad worth any consideration is on a Garbage Plate - an actual Garbage Plate from the real Nick Tahou's on West Main Street in Beautiful Rochester New York (the Flower City).

Otherwise, macaroni salad is a punk ass play for rookies and layabouts. It's worse than a turtleneck on a hockey guy.

89, where is this arena being built? It says "on the strip" and I just wondered.

It's part of Vogl's review of depth at each position segments. It's a quote by Baker. Bakes seems to think Fasching is our most promising RW. I really like Fasching and I have since I learned about him at the under 18 worlds and was very impressed by Murray that he sniped him from LA. But we still.... need that top line RW.

Yeah it's always good to have strong skaters who can keep up and stay on their skates and have a strong mind for the game. You can see a theme developing among our core of prospects I believe.

While he & Compher didn't take a step back last year, they didn't actually progress much either. Main reason they're both headed back to school.
Meanwhile,
The other 2 significant RWs in our system, Baptiste & Bailey, looked great this year by all accounts.
If u look down the line, there doesn't appear to be room for all 4 guys in the Sabres future, so it'll be interesting to see what happens with that group.

Agreed. I have a friend that thinks he's actually a good quarterback. I throw up a little each time he says it.

You're comparing apples and oranges with kids in NCAA and juniors when it comes to offensive production. BUt regarding the rw depth for the future, I've been harping on this for a few months now. I can definitely see one of those four being included in a package. Probably in the next 2-3 years.

If you look at Fasching and Compher's numbers they were actually worse than their previous season
I wasn't comparing their #s with Bailey & Baptiste, I was simply saying they didn't improve much.
Bailey & Baptiste got great reviews all season though

I know what they all did. And I know the college guys lost a step on the score sheet. But with all NHL prospects, stats aren't the only indicator. All four of them have been improving believe it or not. And that's from scouts, not me. Their games are all being rounded out.. skating, decision making, strength and conditioning, defensive prowess.. all of them have improved.

Baker, for example, lists Fasching as the top RW prospect. Compher also remains above Baptiste and Bailey, despite a dip in offensive production.

Compher is technically a center. But they moved him to wing this year in college quite a bit as they feel that it's good for him to get exposure to that position to give him a better change of making it to the NHL due to the amount of Center depth the Sabres have right now. I would think that could have attributed to him not having a great year, as he was learning how to play from a different spot than he used to.

I liked the pairings he had laid out. As long as Oduya isn't given a crazy contract.

What's his deal? Game not translating to the NHL yet?
Isn't this his rookie year?
