Sorry to hear that.

Things happen for a reason. It's still a goal of mine to move out there at some point.

I'd hate to lose Risto, but would you be surprised if a team with McDavid and Babcock were able to land a Doughty or Weber type FA? I wouldn't.
- Pierceme69

When was a player of that caliber available in FA?

You're going to see more of Darcy's (projects) picks be moved.
- SABRES 89

there really aren't many left, are there?...pre 2012 there's ennis, foligno and Pysyk and I think the club likes ennis...

2012 there's Girgensons and Grigorenko, and I think they like Girgensons...

2013 there's risto and big z, and I think they like both

do tell, 89

Kuznetsov is turning into a nice player. I think Grigo should stay for at least another year

Grigo, McCabe, Hackett, Zadorov. I could see all 4 being moved.

There's a few more left, I can't see Hodgson or Gringo finding a spot on this team. Other's in the AHL and there are a couple IMO will be gone.

forgot about hodgson (what a surprise)...

i'd be leaning towards players who are "tough to play against" as keepers for murray...the rest?

How many games will Brady get suspended?
- Pierceme69

I read that Bovada.com an online gambling site has the over/under at 3.5 games. Pretty lite if you ask me.

If they don't trade Grigs in a ROR deal I could see him playing wing on the 3rd line, or maybe center if Reinhart starts in Rochester.

2 games.
I believe he should get 4-6 games, but, NFL is not going to do that.
I can live with 2 games, as we host them on week 2, so we can destroy them!

The longer he's out the better the Bills chances are of winning the division. I hope he gets 6.

I hope so too, but, I just can't see 6 games.

Their first 6 games they play Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Jacksonville, Dallas, Indy, and the Jets. Without Brady that could be 2-4. We want them to be 2-4.

Yeah. They are getting as much from their #1 pick as the Bills this year. I feel bad for the kid.

Has anyone heard of Nikita Zaitsev? A defenseman from the KHL. Sabres are said to be pursuing him.

I think they days of guys dominating like Gretzky and Lemieux did are gone. The league is to big and/or to fast for guys to do that anymore. Its almost like the ice has shrunk over the last twenty years with how well everyone moves and plays the game.

I know its hard to compare different years but Crosby's last year playing in the WJC he was head and shoulders better than everyone else on the ice and it wasn't even that close. Now you look at McDavid this year, I really did get the sense that he dominated like Crosby did. I know he was coming off an injury so that may have something to do with it but with how the league is now, I would never sell the franchise for one player but that's just me.

He's good but as a righty i don't know where he would slot in unless you plan on moving someone. If he wants NHL time right away, the flyers are his best bet.

It would be nice to pick him up, or Mike Reilly, Columbus's prospect for defensive depth.
