Big shot , little skill, tough

If he can skate and clear in front of the net then that is what we have been missing. No free rides, make us harder to play against.

tired of guys 6'5 playing like they are 5'6... Then again I wish Richardson was a bit bigger, like his play but we need more size with grit in the bottom 6 and d.

Micro chips in the pucks and RF scanners in the ice under the paint!

While they're at it, if they could somehow get a blue swoosh on TV every time someone passed the puck so we could follow at home, and a red swoosh every time someone shot the puck that would be great.

I'd love for Benning to acquire a 2nd rounder and draft Rasmus Andersson 64 points in 67 games, next highest scoring dman on his team only has 23 in 62. He's the highest scoring 17 year old on his team as well. 88 pims in 67 games so I bet he has some grit.

I also like Vince Dunn if he's still available in the 2nd. Similar to Andersson, but projected to go earlier(late 1st/early 2nd). Highest scoring d-man on his team despite being a young junior player and 59 pims in 68 games so likely not soft either.

Pilon isn't bad either for a 2nd rounder, but I prefer those 2.

I would not mind if we traded our pick and a prospect or player for Fluery or Sanheim

Both would be very difficult to get, Sanheim especially with the great year he had. Neither of of those teams is looking for more 30+ veterans. That's like some team asking us for Horvat or Virtanen.

I was hoping Sanheim was still available last year when we had our second pick but no luck

Oh well we still do have Sbisa

Hockey season is over, I'll talk about hockey in the fall. Don't worry, you won't have to listen to me much, I'll barely be by.

Excellent news on the new site. I was wondering about a half hour ago why has no one stepped up and done a site.

I agree on the goal. It was called no goal on the play , there was no conclusive camera angle to overturn the decision

Canada getting their asses kicked, I don't care though

Getting as in present, at the time.

The statement was correct at the time of posting when it was 3-0 Sweden

If I would have posted got their asses kicked I would have been incorrect

I want Provarov but I doubt we have the assets needed to move up and grab him.

He needs a change big time. I think if he is asked to waive he will. To just about anywhere.

It probably wouldn't hurt to get rid of 2 core Dmen

Carlo just seems like a Benning pick. Big guy with questionable hockey sense. Overrated prospect.
- Nucker101

Thought the same, we need knuckle draggers though.

If that goal missed call would've cost Calgary the series then perhaps we should take a look at the actual standard that they use to judge/review. Maybe 'inconclusive' is too high of a standard. Everyone seems to agree that the puck was in the net yet we are hamstrung by this absolute. Perhaps it should be 'based on the preponderance of evidence' so that it is more in line with a reasonable and not absolute judgement (this is not a criminal court). I don't want to see teams getting eliminated because of a bad call or non-call. It's fortunate that Calgary was able to score, otherwise I'm sure there would have been some very angry (and rightfully so) fans.

I maintain that puck was in the net - and it was clear from TWO angles - the close up one and the one where they showed Andersen using the kick save - clearly and 'conclusively' over the line on both counts. Let's just get the call right and nevermind the semantics

That call was garbage. It didnt even look like it was a matter of centimetres. It looked like atleast a solid inch.

Can you imagine if the Ducks went up 3-0 because of a stupid non-call. The NHL needs to clean up its act if it's ever to be taken seriously.

The NHL got them back. There's no way that there should have been coincidental minors on Stagan's goaltender interference. I know that everyone hates the league on principle, but sometimes they're in a no win situation. If they had just let play continue instead of delaying the faceoff so that they could check then it would look suspicious.
