Listening to the Wild fans crying on the PA show this morning (whom I cannot stand)(not sure if I've made that clear in the past)and some knuckle head comes on and says this is the worst he's ever felt as a "long time" Wild fan.... he then went into detail as to just how long he's been a Wild fan... "going ALL the way back to the Todd Richards days"...

He's not a true blue Wild fan... I've never seen him in Tony's blogs.

If it makes you feel any better, there are regular "hockey" callers on the radio in Chicago who likely couldn't name a single head coach before Quenneville. And some hosts for that matter too.

I happened to be listening as well this morning while driving somewhere. I just had to turn it off. The ridiculous suggestions that come out of people's mouths knows no limits.

Yep, it's ridonkulous. That's where I'm totally baffled at how Minnesota fans are always labeled so "knowledgeable" because most of the people you hear calling in are complete dopes. It gets even worse on Wild fan line after the games...

Where's MnGUMP, because he was absolutely spot on about the lack of insight of yelling the absolutely lamest bronx cheer is yelling the goalies name after a goal is scored because usually there were breakdowns at more places than the last resort stopper.

I don't care if it is a Chicago fan, or any team it is dumb. You want to use your head and razz a player who made an error on the goal, that shows some creativity. Or yell at a player exiting the penalty box when a gola was scored on the PP, that's great focused harassment.

Until tonight, I always thought the land of a thousand lakes and so many great hockey programs had to be filled with smart homer fans.

But about the most ignorant chant is "Crawford Crawford", before he has given up a goal and your net minder has!

Dummies!

Couldn't agree more though sometimes a goalie earns the chant of his name. For example,

Oh what are you crying about dude? I'm a Cubs fan too. I gotchya by over double the number of years.

At least you guys got the Red Birds. Is there a more consistent, competitive every single (frank)ing year (feel free to take a year or two off ), in MLB than the Cards? Wow!

That's everywhere though. You're always gonna get that kind of whining and crying from every "fan base" when things go South.

It's expectations, right? Who here, or on the 'Hawks blog, would have said, "Yup, the 'Hawks will go up 3-0"? No one. If they say so, they're (frank)ing lying through their teeth.

Hell, I wanted the Blues in round 2 simply because I was thinking DD could totally stone the 'Hawks. And Parise? I could see him just light it up. Just hasn't turned out that way thus far.

Agreed. I don't think too many people didn't think this WAS going to be the best series of the entire playoffs.

Oh well. Maybe the Wild can pull off a win here tonight and win their first ever at UC to make this a series. I have my doubts, but this team has shown some great resiliency this season so I don't think it's impossible.

That being said, Hawks and Crow are playing silly good right now.

If anyone is going to the game tonight and witnesses a Wild fan in a Gaborik jersey being escorted out for taunting his own team, please say hello.

Working late, I'll be listening to the game whenever possible. I've got the DVR set but don't believe I'll have to worry about actually watching it when I get home.

Local media and radio hosts more or less saying this is a no brainer Wild win... Not really feeling it myself, we've seen this look before and that deer in the head lights look from Yeo, but if this team is worth their salt in the least they should be able to win one home game in this series.

I'll placate myself and say Wild win 3 - 1.

Tony, I JUST WANTED TO SAY CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your child!

Make sure you cherish the minutes, days and weeks of these first four years.

They grow and develop so fast.

Take videos.

Lots.

And help your wife, because she probably will not get much sleep for the next four years!

That can't go in... EVER. Totally on Dubnyk.

Edit: Ok, so it was deflected... still Dubnyk not looking sharp against Chicago and probably still should have saved that. He's gotta be standing on his head in an elimination game. No excuses.
