I agree Calgary is the team I was most excited about cause I think they are a year or so ahead of us and they are getting blown up by the ducks i wish they could win more.

Murray doesnt want a slow rebuild. Enough pieces are in place to make a decent run at the playoffs next year. Trade a couple pieces for a top six forward and maybe a top 4 dman and you have a lot better of a team than we did this year.

Risto and Zads (if he sticks) will be better, sure. But they are still only 20 years old. And we may be adding two additional kids in Pysyk and McCabe.

And if Reinhart and/or Eichel make the team, plus Kane and whoever else we add, these players are going to need time to create some chemistry.

They finished 4th last in 2014 and are now in the second round. If anything i think they should give sabres fans hope.

It took selling off half the team, multiple injuries and we had to beg for bad goaltending in order to be in last place. I think we were very lucky to be in last and very easily could have been better.

The point is that we were the worst on purpose we traded both of our starting goalies and traded for a player who was injured for the remainder of the season.

I said make the team. Never mentioned difference making. Thats like saying the sabres wont make the playoffs because they dont have crosby. You dont need the best player to be the best team.
