He is definitely good at using his size. Protects the puck pretty well. Doesn't shy away from physical contact. He'll need some time to adjust to the speed of the game at the beginning of the year, but he's got all the tools he needs already to play in the NHL.

Agree with you, per usual.

Also, wins faceoffs and is decent hounding skaters on defense.

At home, but in my office, so wanted to watch this on my 2nd computer.

Eichel physically looks good. Got a bit lost a couple times but it's a bigger surface, etc. Goes to the net like a boss, too.

Yeah, he looked more lost in the Finland game, and I didn't get to see any of the Norway game. It seems that he's getting more comfortable as the tournament goes on.

I had made a comment to somebody that someone ought to tell USA Hockey that the World Championships isn't a U23 tournament, but this roster is doing okay right now. They'll still most likely get rolled by Canada should they face them, though.

On the other hand, playing with a bunch of overmatched kids should be good practice for next year.

Hated him years ago.

Soft. Uninspired.

Can't imagine that's changed.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing him in blue and gold. Development camp should be fun to check out this year.

Ivan Provorove - Ranked 6th Over-All nice but out of range,

Try on for size, Miko Rantanen or Pavel Zacha

Wow. Eichel has won 12 of 16 faceoffs today. It's been a while since we've had a guy that was good at faceoffs.

I'm not sure he can attend without giving up college.

Unless he pays for his own flight and hotel.

Compher and Fasching were there last year. Obviously I don't know the logistics of who paid for what, but my guess would be that Fasching didn't pay for it himself based on what we know about his family situation.

I'm pretty sure they have to pay their own way.

I would think the Sabres paying for it would violate their eligibility.

So it would be legal for a Buffalo player to hand said player 2k as a 'friend'

Even if he has to pay his own way, I can't see him not being in attendance. Hard to make a decision of whether or not you want to leave if you don't get a chance to see what the organization and everything is all about.
