Anyway, after harringdork asked GMTM about tanking 3 times in a row as the post trade deadline presser, i dont have much respect for him as a journalist. He and Sullivan are just 2 incredibly negative a-holes that are constantly trying to prove that the Sabres are secretly the illuminati trying to "ruin Buffalo," yet never offer any option as to how to rebuild the team. I used to like Bucky. In fact, i once had a conversation with him about Jim Kelley, who he considered his mentor. But Bucky started going down that rabbit hole that the sabres are out to get the media as well. Buffalo could definitely use a second newspaper. I dont think the News gets any respect because they dont give the Sabres any. When their juornalists get their chance at the mic, the ask the most asinine questions. They embarass me as a fan of the team. They're right there on the same level as Chump and the Bullsh!t on WGR.

Exactly. 1/2 of the posters on this board could hold that press conference and predict what the answers would be. Harrington is burnt being left out of his opportunity to ask the wienerish questions we all know won't get answered anyhow, and while I get it, I don't substitute the media's agenda for my own.

won't disagree with much of what you said, but beat writers shouldn't be dismissed either as they follow the team every day...the sabres lost over 120 games the last three seasons...not sure it'd be all that fun covering that, even if you're getting paid for it

I think the press conference relieving Nolan of his duties was in place of it. It was still a recap of what was and what is expected to come. Just because Harrington didn't get the title of "end of season" press conference, doesn't mean he didn't get one. Maybe he's all about the titles of things?

It's a catch 22 with a good portion of the media here in Buffalo. The franchise gets criticized for not talking to the media, but then when they do talk to them, the media twists it around and rips them apart.

Either the answers are too generic or they tell us too much information and it hurts someone else's feelings or whatever. It's a freaking joke. The mainstream media in this city in no way should be considered journalism on any level.

Maybe if they acted professionally, they would get treated like professionals. It's quite the concept really.

He had 1 really good offensive shift and a decent defensive one. The rest he looked just meh, not much fire/hustle to his game.

Probably doesn't help that he played on a line with trevor lewis. It is however only game 1, hopefully he gets better as the tournament goes on.
