Nope, sorry, Burke does not get off that easily.

His #1 centre to play with Kessel was Matt Stajan.

His #1 goalie was Toskala, who had two hip surgeries that off-season, and looked terrible the season before.

And Burke refused to entertain the free agent signing of Cammaleri - who you at least could have shifted to centre and had someone for Kessel to play with.

This was Burke at his worst - allowing his ego to dictate. He came into Toronto and decided to be the guy to fix everything faster than anyone else could - and it ended up burning him.
