I wouldn't underestimate Murray. I think he could be a sniper for RFA offer sheets.
- Pierceme69

Maybe...
But what team wouldn't match an offer sheet?
Even a team in cap trouble, like say Chicago, would match an offer sheet to Saad & trade Sharp to someone instead

I also suspect Murray might be willing to dangle Zads, and that other teams might be willing to throw big value this way in exchange

I don't think the kid did a lot to endear himself to the franchise last season.

- Der Kaiser

I'm not saying he's untouchable,
But I also think Murray likes him a lot
And if he were to trade him,
There'd have to be a plan to replace him (like how Bogosian took Myers spot)
Right now,
Zadorov is slotted for a major role on our blue line for years to come

While you gotta give to get.

IMO it would be a mistake to move Zads. Every team needs that punishing defenseman that can join the rush. He has that Pronger/Seabrook element to his game and that is something this team is going to need.

You have to get creative. I've mentioned several times an idea Yost first floated about offering two players from the same team simultaneously. That forces a cap strapped team to choose one and let the other walk. Toffoli and Martin Jones was the example given.

if Oshie did not take 213 shootout attempts vs russia, would he be so sought after by some?
- homiedclown

Consistent 50 point player who plays a good defensive game, so for me it's yes.

No. He's not that good. 21 goals career high, disappears in the playoffs. The idea you could get Kessel for Oshie is laughable.

That is a very slippery slope that might rub many the wrong way.

Tyler Ennis career high.... 21 goals..... Never hit 50 points in a season. Yet he is "A first line winger"

Just days away from the draft this is the time of the season when everyone gets to be the general manager. Almost no trade is too crazy to kick around and for the right price everyone is available.

With this in mind NFL.com put together a few trade scenarios not that they believed would happen, just that they would like to see or that could work. The Bills found themselves smack-dab in the middle of one of the juiciest ideas brought up.

In the hypothetical trade, the Bills would trade away EJ Manuel to Washington in exchange for Robert Griffin III. Sure, it sounds a little crazy, but could it work?

He's not trying to win a popularity contest, he's trying to win a cup.

The whole team has been underacheiving. He has shown more this season that he
may be able to be the 30 goal guy. Hoping to see everyone playing to win next season and not playing to lose.

Tuesday night, before Game 4 of the OHL Western Conference Finals, we had a chance to talk with new Edmonton Oilers GM and President of Hockey Operations Peter Chiarelli. He was in town to check out the downtown Erie scenery. Ok, in all seriousness, we know why he was in Erie.

The Oilers own the number 1 pick in the NHL Draft. Everyone in the hockey world is expecting them to pick Connor McDavid with the top pick. But we got to ask him directly, “Is there a scenario out there anywhere, in which you would consider trading the number 1 pick?”

“I would never say never,” Chiarelli told us. “If we decide to take this player, Connor McDavid, who is a hell of a player, we would be passing up a hell of a player if we did trade the pick. But in this business, you never say never.”

He definitely didn't. I think he will be a piece involved in any trade that nets a top-3 winger.

They talked about that on Simon's show yesterday. Simon seemed insulted that Washington would expect an additional asset in that trade. RG3 may never be what he was as a rookie, but at least he has a proven ceiling.

I really don't think you have to fix anything. the 4 wings on the top 2 lines here should be pretty interchangeable

IMO he is a second line winger, which is why I threw eberle out there for the first line

Absolutely need to change. We're short LHD, not to mention potentially great LHD. Trading Zadorov is stupid unless you're getting a top line winger. a top 6 guy is way, way easier to acquire.

Comparable career ppg avg when you factor in Oshie has played with more top end forwards.

One is going to get you an avg of 67 games a year and the other 73.

Ennis in his limited playoff experience has 8 points in 13 games where Oshie has 9 in 30. 3 year age difference between them too.

I'll stick with Ennis and let Oshie go elsewhere unless you get him for a 3rd. Which we all know isn't happening.

I would love them to be ballsy and trade Dareus to get into the first round.

To be clear, I have led the Noshie movement. I don't think he's that good. But I'd take him for a 3rd rounder in a hot minute. He'd be worth that price for shootout victories alone.

if pysyk and z are with the big club, the d depth is depleted on the prospect side since they will be with the big club

I do like martin and florentino though

I would not be shocked if 2 of the 3 other picks in the top 2 rounds are d men

IMO he's nothing more than a 3rd liner that can play 2nd pp mins.

I do like the player, never agreed with the term they gave him.
