Savard never won a Cup in Chicago...his number is retired.

It's a dumb argument about a dumb tradition anyways.

Since when is play blown dead when the goalie loses his glove? I recall a play a few years ago with Dustin Brown and Mike Smith when play continued after Brown knocked his glove off.........

You have another way to define success in a team sport?

A lame number will always be lame, no matter who wears it. Hossa may be in the HOF one day, but 81 is still a lame number.
- Ogilthorpe2

But we won't think of it as a lame number - it will be Hossa's number.

I could have made that save. The Allen supporters are getting what they asked for. Be careful what you wish for sometimes.

He knocked his own helmet off in one game to get a whistle too. Crafty shenanigans by DD.

Who was in net for game 5? I didn't catch the game and this broadcast just said the first goal STL gave up Friday was brutal as well

Goaltending is the reason I'd rather face St. Louis than Minny, that and I think Minny plays a much more disciplined system.

That's some bullpoop. I did some (lazy) googling and cannot find anything in the rulebook about losing a glove - only the mask. Seems you guys got (frank)ed.

Backes is a great leader. He will inspire the boys to rise above it.

Got to win with the help or in spite of the officials. The ok is news is they are only down 1 I guess.

In baseball that's a helluva batting average. Maybe he should try out for the Cardinals.

He wouldn't work with their winning post season tradition.

Looked like a clear cut penalty to me. In either case, call the penalty or call the dive. Calling both is a cop out.

But it's what the NHL wants them to do in that situation so what are you going to do whether we like it or not.

Well that was timing... guess what a coach says is true until it isn't.
