Every year.

Good luck to you guys. As much as I love watching playoff hockey, don't think I can watch any more this year...

Very sorry Carcus, can't imagine how you are feeling right now. Thanks for being a good sport. But you'll come around and watch, and not have to stress about how your team is doing and just be neutral

Interested to see what changes come STL's way

Can't help but feel sorry for the Sens and their fans. But what a season, shouldn't have even made the playoffs

I feel bad for them. Robbed by a quick whistle. Ah well. Montreal moves on.

We may be the ones weeping at the end of the 2nd round. The Wild are rolling. I really don't think any of the games I saw were handed to them by the Blues. They took them - played hockey instead of engaging in Hitch's garbage.

Look at it this way. Hitch leaving is probably a huge step forward for your org. Many of you Blues die hards deserve better. If it doesn't happen then Armstrong isn't as competent as I thought. Should have happened last year. Would have been scary to see that lineup focused on an open style without the bullying after the whistle stuff - feature a Stastny and move Backes down to 2c or 3c... Make PTR or Steen captain. Send Ott to the East St. Louis lockup, Jackman to a dog fighting pit, and Reaves to the UFC.

yep i hear ya...been there several times....

hard to figure this blues team...big, great D, strong up front but unable to get the saves when needed...

in the last 3 years the blues are 1-11 in games 3 thru 6. Not going anywhere in the playoffs when you can't win the money games...

Cant believe I'm saying this but the second line needs a Playoff Bickell type winger to replace Versteeg. Is there anyone in the farm system they would consider bringing up.

Like the balance of the other three lines so don't want to change anyone on them. Love that Saad is playing more physical and starting to finish checks

- molly2522

86 replaces 23 and be done with it. Kid can be overwhelmed physically but he won't brain fart the biscuit away like Steeger. Kid sees the ice well and can give Q more line options. Do it Q, put in TT....!

Sorry bud. I think your GM may have to go too. Something is not right with the roster. And it can't be all Hitch. Offencive depth didn't show up and of course your guys need a much better goaltending tandem.

The trade dead line moves ...pleased the fan base...but as to who is actually playing and contributing....zilch.
Both were throw away draft picks. Had Bowman done nothing he would have been hung out to dry. However.... as things unfolded he should have done nothing

Vermette has been solid. Not spectacular, but solid. The team is much stronger down the middle with him. Dezy has been ok too. I'll give you Kimonen...he is worthless.

Saying he should have done nothing a day after the team advanced to the second round is premature at best.

Yep. Tried to get cute, should've just gotten it out. Eddie would be very disappointed that he didn't get it out/get it deep.

It's definitely a thought, that's for sure.

One thing I noticed in the Hawks/Blues series from last season's playoffs is that the team was too one-dimensional - filled with guys who can only bang and agitate. However, it appeared to me that the Blues diversified to an extent, adding guys such as Statsny and Lethera, and the further development of Schwartz, Tarasenko, and Jaskin added to their scoring punch. Rattie might be able to add to that next season.

However, their goaltending hit the crapper. They could use some help there. In addition, what do Reaves and Ott bring that team in the playoffs?

Maybe the Blues are a couple of pieces away from really taking off in the payoffs and contending for a cup?

I guess if were up to me, I'd give their GM a stay of execution for another season.

Agree. I think Vermette looked better as the series went on and had his best games in games 4 and 6.

As you mention he makes the Hawks better down the middle and while not scoring a ton is defensively responsible which is mostly what you need from him.

Desjardins can also step in for draws on the 4th line if he needs to and gives the Hawks another guy that's hard to play against.

If you guys end up with McClellin and a some cement heads departing the roster, the Blues could become more dangerous in the postseason.

Hitch seems ok personally, but his thug style hockey isn't working. The way the game has been called (or not), this might have been his best opportunity to get something done with this roster composition.

Because the outcome of the games is pre-determined. C'mon you know this.

You mean the only official goal of game 6? Because it was a good goal...

...and if it were reviewed, it would be...wait for it...

...a good goal.
