Yes...but I'm a lit less confident this time around. I really think the Blues would've been an easier out. Should be fun. Any chance Dubber cools off for us?
- Ogilthorpe2

To be honest, I was feeling much more confident facing the Hawks this year... then I watched you guys knock out Nashville last night and I'm starting to have some doubts again.
Should be a hard played series featuring lots of skill and minimal sideshow poop that we saw with StL. Looking forward to it

We'd appreciate more inconsistent goalie play from the opposition if that's alright with you

Also now that the first round of the WC is done, can we be done with complaining about what place the Hawks finish in the regular season? As long as they make the playoffs, who cares. 3 of the 4 lower seeded teams won their 1st rd series in the West.

Lame excuse...you mean to tell us JJ's corner of the Buzz isn't your #1 priority?

I wasn't too impressed with him until these last 2 games. Hopefully he's regained his mojo, as he's going to need it against Toews, Kane & Co.

With Cooke back in the lineup I sure hope the Hawks are wearing their Kevlar socks.

Pretty sure he gave in to that devil on his shoulder that told him to visit the Blues Thread this evening. It happens to the best of us sometimes.

Coach Kangaroo can be blamed for setting team goals like "chaos" and/or "imposing our will" in the playoffs every year though. He may want to consider re-prioritizing in his next gig. Playing solid hockey may override those other objectives.... Playing Stastny more than Ott may have made sense in those early games too. Players with skill over the bullies. The man never learns.

Nice that the next round will be about hockey. Unfortunately, the Wild looks like it has what it takes up front and at GT to beat the Hawks. Q really needs to give Cumiskey a shot over Timmo. The man is 3 steps slower and can't even think the game anymore. That trade was a total scam job by Hextall on Stan.

For some reason 'in the ditch with Hitch' always gets chosen as a coach for Team Canada in the Olympics and he is always in the team suite watching the games. Now we know why.

Traffic to the net for the Hawks is a must. Can't rely on Dubnyk playing mediocre like Rinne did.

Hopefully he was inserted to help deal with the asshattery of the Blues and doesn't see a minute of ice time in this upcoming series. Sitting guys like Haula, Carter and even Bergenheim over Cooke is a pretty terrible idea, imo.

I live in MN and see more than my fair share of Wild games. The Wild are the one team that I did not want the Hawks to face. I hoped the Blues would win in game seven after 8 OTs....no such luck.

The Wild have speed up and down that lineup. Combine that with an elite level of goaltending since Dubs joined and it's a lethal combination. And people talk about Suter.... personally, I don't even think he's the best d-man on the roster. The Wild actually remind me of a younger Blackhawks team from say 2010.

Going to be a nail biting series for sure.

I was down on starting Darling. Glad things worked out. No need to go on and repeat the joy of winning. I lived it. Playoffs are fragile. If Keith gets hurt and Weber stays healthy...hawks are out.

KT can't be in the lineup vs Minnie. Surely he can't be. He makes Rozy look like Usain Bolt.
And Crawford starts. Win the Central win the Cup.

He'll be out tomorrow I think, but Lord only knows for how long. The recidivism rate is pretty high around these parts.

Kimonen is done, but I'll be shocked if he's not on the bench for game one. He won't play, but he'll dress. I wish Cumiskey would play in his spot.

Couldn't agree more. He also had a strong game today but has had his fair share of (frank) ups vs the Blues
