Sutter can easily be traded.....and will IMO. Scuds, yeah, nobody want's him. - madmike71
3.3 for a 3rd line center and a pretty good pk guy? Sounds almost identical to chris kelly albeit younger |

He looks more like an alien but fine and the corps outside of chara isn't really aging Bergeron, Krecji, Marchand, Tuukka, Krug and Hamilton are all on the right side of 30 in fact all of them except bergeron are younger than geno if I'm not mistaken - eganator
yes... exactly... why wouldn't he go to a team with stars just up n' coming to lead them to a championship... most opportunities that way.
actually I see him as a king a shark a nuck or maybe a flame.
monahan, 1st, and good prospect? that would get the conversation started. |

I'm not even going to think about it, because I am not a general manager for an NHL team or the Penguins. Also I'm not going to think about it because I don't think he wants out of Pittsburgh. But I'd rather sit back and watch the off-season than listen to atrocious trade ideas. - j.boyd919
If someone has an offer that management likes and they run it by geno we'll see how much he wants to stay then. Even if he rejects it how long does he wanna stay with people who wanna move him? |

We were a few bounces away from this being 3-2 pens lead in the series - drummer829
If that is what you believe fine. Rangers didn't play their best hockey but they won.
I would also like to see what the amount of offensive zone time each team had.

In all honesty... give the Pens Letang, Ehrhoff, and Maatta back and take away Girardi, McDonagh, and Staal... what happens? Or take Keith and Seabrook off of Chicago, or Hedman, Garrison, and Stralman off Tampa...
I don't think it was Johnston's fault. I think he did an admirable job with the lineup that his hand was forced via injuries and GM ineptitude. - j.boyd919
They were playing bad hockey the last 6 weeks or so in the regular season when they had Letang and Ehrhoff |

I could also see the preds making a play reunite him with neal and they seem to be an offensive stud away from being a real player. |

When they were missing Hornqvist, Malkin, and Comeau? Yeah that equals to one of their scoring lines... |

How so? He'd be far from THE guy I think the last first line center to be THE guy in boston was thornton and we all know what happened there. |

Almost never in NHL history has the team moving the better player won the trade. Malkin / Crosby / Letang / MAF core isnt the issue... its depth and injuries and injuries, and ummm.... injuries |

Some team will want him. He'd be a nice fit in Edmonton. He's had a couple of nice playoffs......although he was a ghost in our last two games. If a club was willing to pay Engellend 3mil a year, someone will def pay Sutter 3.3.
I personally can't stand him, but he does have NHL value. |

I'm not trying to make excuses, but I don't put all the blame on Johnston.. in his 1st year as head coach, I think he did a pretty solid job. Made adjustments when needed. I wouldn't be mad if they kept him around. But that would likely mean keeping JR... I'd like to lose him. Bring someone else in and that someone else would more than likely want to bring his own coach in too. |

Supposedly Geno doesnt want the attention from the media that the captain and number one man on the team would garner. Bigger Boston and the fact he immediately becomes heads and tails the best player on the team negates that argument. |

Maybe not but edmonton gives a good offer and geno says no and all of a sudden the pens leverage goes way down |

I think the Avs could be a good partner for both teams. 71 centering Mac and Iggy....They can resign ROR, Avs need D though really bad and goaltending. They are a young exciting team to watch that hasn't had a super star since Sakic/Forsberg. |
