And you aren't being biased? Got it. King dove on a bump that a 12 year old doesn't act like he gets plowed over. the 12 year old remains standing. This is not a debatable thing. I don't care what you think to be honest either.

UMMM ... Hagelin should have been called for interference. Anyone with half a brain knows this. I question if you have half a brain. Big different ... Crosby wasn't looking as Hagelin intentionally plowed into him.

You aren't going to convince me at all for anything so save your breath.

They have been said. Why don't you do some reading. Don't act like there aren't any equitable deals out there. If you don't believe it, you are a fool. 9.5 million for basically a 71-point guy that plays 65 games per year. Is that a wise investment? Nope. But there certainly are GMs that wouldn't be able to help contain themselves if they got the call.

When was the last time that Geno had decent wingers? He can not carry the play and the scoring all by himself. Get him and Sid decent wingers and they will produce according to their salaries.

Haha I love that you still cant just post one trade. You're so full of poop you aren't even worth the time. Have fun hating your team. No matter what happens, I will bleed Black and Yellow ((frank) the Vegas Gold) and love my team. I may not always be happy, but I will always support them.
- thickman1178

I want to make you work ... obviously, you don't care or are lazy. That is your decision.

I don't hate this team. I hate the way this organization is run. There are some tremendous flaws in the system and this is why this team ISN'T competitive for a Cup with two generation talents. Bad decisions; bad development; bad everything has led to this.

I'm not full of poop ... I realize the problems that exist. The people that don't ..., are delusional.

Ive read the entire thread and have yet to see you post one actual player for player trade that makes sense. Ive seen you mention teams that we could target, and that's it.

It's been a while. When you have 33% of the cap invested in three players and one of them is a non-reliable defenseman that gets hurt at the drop of the hat, you don't exactly have the means to go our and get those capable wingers you need. So, instead you give up top assets that could turn into those wingers for rentals. This leaves you with nothing.

It's easier said then done. We have no trade assets; we have no draft picks that can turn into these wingers in three years ... so, how do you suggest we go about acquiring top six forwards instead of going out and landing third line wingers and hoping they do something with Crosby and Malkin. That has been our MO. The only developed player we have to speak of under 25 is BB and that has been a disaster.

It was textbook interference. You don't think so, you need hockey for dummies. You think it was a minor amount of contact? Next thing you will say, King got bumped more than Hagelin nailed Crosby.

It was a little embellishment? When a goalie gets a little bump and keels over like he had been shot; the same bump that a 12-year old remains standing ... I think its more than a little embellishment.

At 2 sec in, everything is fine, Crosby is in his lane Hagelin is in his. At 3 seconds you can see Crosby takes a big cross over step and completely travels right into Hagelin who never once changed his direction. If Crosby didn't cut into the middle, Hagelin didn't go out of his way to change his direction into Sid. You have serious issues looking at facts and evaluating them without bias.

You simply don't have the processing power to understand what are facts and what are interpretations. When I bring up Lappy's fabrication of something that didn't happen, you somehow process it as the same thing as your opinion that Lunqvist should have stayed up. In the end, the refs are gonna call it as they see it in their own opinions. Just a shame that you think your opinions are the word of law.

Neal wasn't a decent winger? Perron (albeit poopty since he moved to Genos line)?

I don't think there are any individual roster players to be signed, but having the flexibility to add one top 6 forward like a Frolik or Parenteau and then solidifying the 3rd and 4th lines with contributors can make a difference. God willing, this will be the first year they don't have non-NHL players on the roster (Sill, Adams).
- jfkst1

i dont like parenteau.

if you think that frolik can be a guy that can come in and make a difference for malkin, then that is worth examining.

my priorities would be going very young on defense, then bringing in at least one quality player for malkin. he really does need it.

Please oh please shut up w/ all the missed/wrong penalties being called! Every team in every series since the beginning of time have had the same gripes. At the end of a series, usually, and I stress usually, it all equals out.
- rrentz

agreed, every team gets calls for and against, let you all in on a little secret- the refs are HUMAN, they occasionally make a mistake. if I had to pick id say Lappys embellishments were worse but what do they say "if your not cheating , your not trying "?
would you want to be an NHL ref ? I know I wouldn't.

This was all I was saying, and it was a small comment that I wasnt expecting Oneonta to insult my intelligence about. I'm human too, and if your gonna call me stupid for something then you better be able to back your insult up.

Seriously, and I mean no offense, but this is a hockey game not the Kennedy assassination. NHL officials are terrible. They are managed by incompetent former third liners. Let this argument go...your team won the game

To get a top 6 winger I'd suggest trying to make a deal with Boston or Chicago. 2 teams that have to clear up some salary this off season. Move Sutter and Kunitz for what ever picks you can get. Resign Winnik and have him as the 3C until Sundqvist is ready.

Or if that doesn't work throw a offer sheet at Saad or Tarasenko

No toiling involved at all. Im not going to go looking for it. If he thinks its such a great idea, he can repost it or it can become irrelevant just like the idea of trading Geno to being with.

haha fair enough.

everything just gets so personal here so quickly. its brutal.

realistically, our hockey team is done yet again. its frustrating. everyone is still entitled to their opinion. if it bothers people so much, theyre under no obligation to read it, let alone reply to it.

i just come here to kill time and shoot the poop, and like hearing people's perspectives. but it always becomes a pissing contest in short order. ugh.

I'll say this for the THIRD year in a row. This team needs to forget about the the cup for just one season. Forget the bottom six next year. Use AHLers. Build the top six and pray you can sign a decent bottom six in another FA year. Maybe Sundquist and Kap are ready by then.
Either way, we gotta retool for a whole season at least.

Then why didn't we trade Martin? Keeping him meant they thought this year was worth another run. Total waste of an asset.

Not the worst idea I have ever heard.

The warriors (I'm an NBA fan too) did something like this in 2011 playing lots of 1st and 2nd year guys and tanking pretty hard. Those guys got good playing lots of minutes. Now they are doing pretty damn well.
