That's a very late hook on DD imho, especially after taking the shot to the back of the leg.

65% save percentage tonight. Ouch.

If the Hawks lost a game, looking like the Wild do tonight...

...fans would flip out in this town.

Amazing how the results can turn on a dime from one game to the next.

Blues vs. Wild has been all over the place...

...meanwhile Sens vs. Habs have played 4 virtually identical games, OT being the difference.

Same with the Mallards vs. Turboprops.

He took a petro shot in the back of the leg where there is nothing. At that point, he should 100% have been pulled. It was already 4 or 5 to 1. All it is going to do is tighten up that hamstring. I know from experience.

Amazing the Jekyll and Hyde of these teams.

So you guys know/think the Hawks have cap issues. How would you like to have 15mm tied up between Lucas Sbisa, Kevin Bieksa and backup Ryan Miller.

Nahhhh...Hawks don't have cap issues.

All Bowman needs to do is trade Kane

...and it's 3-1 Ducks...buy bye Turboprops

uhhh...perhaps not done yet 3-2 with 10 left

Al I don't get this considering what defensemen were available ...and I've continued to bring this up. Bowman has known since the Kings series the defense needed upgrading /retooling and all he did was salary dump Leddy at the very last moment instead of adding/moving guys at the draft or over the summer. And then at the deadline brings in KT instead of Michalek/Sekera/Petry...

Meanwhile your top 4 are playing heavy minutes in the first round. What are the odds we have another double overtime game tomorrow night?

Keith 46 minutes last night...
Oduya and Hammer both over 37...
Seabs 33 and Rosy 30. And we've just gotten through Game 4...

- DK002

...but he found quite the goaltender in #33. Have to give Stan credit where it is earned if you're going to look in the rear view mirror.

Spot on Trob...I still don't get the move for KT...

Versteeg continues to be maddening...Looked like he finally got his game back after the injury and then since the Classic and the hand injury isn't the same player. Stop trying to be Kane light and take the body for God sake...stop floating...

- DK002

Timmonen... Starting to think his playing was a final gift to the Flyers. He plays another 90 days (even though he shouldn't) and they pick up 2 bonus picks trading him. Probably has a nice job in the Flyer's front office waiting for him.

He is this year's version of Zus. No way he should be playing. 12 mins last night proves it. Get Cumiskey in. If Timmo costs 2 2nd rounders this will be Stan's worst. Even worse than Rundblad.

I don't get all the love for Nillsen nor do I think if Crawford were dealt the Hawks go into the season with 2 goalies with so little NHL experience. Nillsen if signed could spend time in Rockford...just like every young goalie so far.
- Al

Not saying I liked the idea. I do get the love for Nillsen though. His KHL numbers are outstanding and he sort of got shafted by Snow/Capuano in NY. He had a few bad games with a terrible team in front of him but was still better than the guys in front of him.

Well...they waited 19 years to return to the playoffs.

Noone guaranteed them anything once they got there.

my upset special goes down in 4....man did not expect that...

yes the jets are undisciplined and not that great with def zone coverage and their goaltending ran out of varlomov inspired pixie dust....

still thought they could at least get 2...

flames still lookn good...

even FHOF dubnyk has a bad night once in a while...

Certainly the hawks would save money with Darling. And I'm not trying to be a Richard here, but I'd like to see Darling maintain sobriety for a year. I'd like to see him get blown out once next year and see how he handles it. If he lights it up next year does he maintain his humility. I'd like to think he'd handle it well, and I hope he does. But I think a larger sample size with all situations would not be too much to ask. Darling did bring any and all scrutiny on himself. But I like the guy and i'm pulling for him.

So Nashville has former hawk Carter Hutton as the backup. And the hawks have former Nashville system goalie Scott Darling. Chalk one up for Stan.

Really shouldn't venture in stuff you don't know. Btw, are you putting that condition on the goalie you would be starting over him
