If they offer Seguin, Nichuskhin, Oleksiak and their first, I will listen. Otherwise. piss off.
- ImThatGuy

no it would have to be Tyler Seguin and Jamie Bennfor me to listen we're not giving up a generation talent for free

and I'm not trading for boom and bust type prospects

Odds are they won't move him but I'd love to know who gets the closest.

btw, it's official...

The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has signed free agent forward Evan Rodrigues to a two-year, entry-level contract.

“Evan is a very talented young player who has displayed exceptional growth during his four years at BU,” said Buffalo Sabres General Manager Tim Murray. “We look forward to adding another talented piece to our group.”

It would have to be someone like Tavares or Stamkos I think. Still on the younger side. I don't think Crosby, Ovi, or Malkin would fit that mold.

Plus you'd have to add a lot.

Stamkos, Hedman, Drouin ++

Not a chance. Stamkos is likely better than Eichel will be

Flyers and Bruins strike me as two who would come the closest.

I was told that the Bruins have nothing that would get them close to worthy of a trade for #2 after I put up a hypothetical yesterday

Really? sure no single individual stands out but Hamilton, Pastrnak, Subban, Krejci..

It may not be enough to get a deal done but i think they're the ones who would try the hardest to make it happen (philly as well).

I'm just saying that the way that this pick will be (over)valued, I could see it taking someone of that caliber.

I still doubt it happens.

yes, someONE of that caliber, but not 3 key players on their squad if Stamkos is one of them.

the only teams that could trade for this years 1st/2nd overall would have to have youngish, experienced, proven veterans with term. the team either missed the playoffs or had an early exit and were in cap trouble.
If have to imagine if Murray were to trade the 2nd overall, he would want immediate results and several of them. no more picks or prospects.
...just my 2¢

I don't think the kids going to be a scrub or anything, but Stamkos is proven and an amazing player. I'm excited to see Eichel in a Sabres uniform, but to think he'll be better than Stamkos is a reach for me without seeing him play

My Boston question wasn't because I knew/wanted anything from them, just wondered if they had anything good in their system that would pull it off - was a bit of a probing question as I don't really follow other teams to know how their system/farm is

I based my question on Boston wanting to go "nuts" to get the local boy

Agreed, but at this point, who knows. Honestly nothing ever surprises me at the draft

Emphatically relevant.

Gerbe knows prospects.
