Not that I would call anyone in particular dumb, but I think we can all agree that intelligence is not a prerequisite to join HockeyBuzz.

Liking hockey and enjoying antagonizing others seems to be the only real requirements.

IMO best thing for buffalo and eichel is one more year in school.

saves a year on his ELC, he matures, buffalo stinks again and has a shot at Matthews.

what good can be gained from him playing right away?

I don't think it'd be a bad plan. Stuff those cup boards even more and give some of these guys more time to develop the right way. I think a lot of you guys would disagree with that and i can understand why as an Islander fan.

Yup, they'd save valuable cap space. It's an asset for them right now and I'd hate to see it be wasted with panic signings of 3rd liners.

With Buffalo's lottery luck, they'd finish dead last again next season and lose all 3 lotteries

It's all good in the end. Do you think you guys will try to sign Neuvirth in the off season?

Torrey Mitchell should be brought back to center the 4th line IMO.

A. Too small
B. Was already on the Sabres (no more do overs)

I'm more of an Enroth fan, but they're comparable overall. The question is do you think the Isles will try to keep him?

Neuvirth/Lindback would be fine with me as the Sabres goalies, toss Johnson to the AHL/hope he gets claimed in waivers maybe

Doubt it...Babcock could still be possible failing that...I believe it will be Luke Richardson
- aschwach

Of course Luke Richardson.
Born in Ottawa , coaches the Binghamton Senators.
Murray only knows the box he lives in.

That would definitely explain why he retained Ted Nolan last year.

neuvirth/lindback both on one years i would be fine with..

i highly doubt anyone picks up 85, especially since he got injured.

Stated this the other day Boos - if Eichel goes back to BU for a year, then Buffalo gets an even more developed franchise player that will be on an entry level contract even later and it gives the rest of the team a "free" year to develop amongst themselves.

it's not only Eichel that will be added to the team, it's: Pysyk, Grigorenko, Larsson, Reinhart, etc. A year for them to all meld is not going to hurt

I heard the cost of his living quarters was included in his compensation.

Yeah. A shame he fired that thinking outside the box juggernaut Ted Nolan.

and that's the dumbest loophole ever more and more college players are doing this every year mike reilly is about to do it and he's going to sign with Minnesota how stupid is that the Blue Jackets are going to lose a stud defenseman and they can't do anything about it

I don't think we saw anything in him that'd inspire Snow to sign him? Granted it was an extremely small sample size but he wasn't overly impressive in his starts. Quite the contrary actually. Not always easy to adjust to a new team for tenders.

Your close-mindedness is astonishing. Murray has been at the helm for just over a year; let it be for a bit. Step away from the ledge bud

In regards to Eichel going back to college, sure you save a year on his ELC, but everyone else ie. Evander Kane, are 1 year closer to free agency. We need to start building this winning culture now so guys want to stay. Eichel going back to BU is not what's best for the Sabres organization.

Not many people will agrer, but Ted Nolan seems to get the most out of his goalies.

DiPietro
Latvian goalie
Enroth
Nuevirth

I don't think it's all a coincidence

I have a feeling our goaltending will be an issue

That's fair, I just know you guys (obviously, or else you wouldn't have gotten Neuvirth) have had some issues with backups before and he had decent personal stats on the pooptiest team in the NHL

Let's see if he tries to get one of those 3 Ottawa goalies after this season.

Hammond is a UFA
Lehner is under contract until the end of the 16/17 season at 2.25 and then 3.15.
Anderson is under contract until the end of the 17/18 season at 4.75 and then 4.75 and finally 3.10.

If he makes a play for one of those goalies my point will be made and I will then go and puke.
