What a terrible game by the Blues....... - carcus
I thought they played well. Keep trying to tell you when the games get big, Backes gets small. Blues will never win with that clown leading the way. |

Didn't Hitch and the captain light a fire under them?
Or are they being beaten by a better team? - RickJ

Winnipeg White out is turning into RIGHT OUT of the playoffs .Looks good on them they were a little to cocky when they beat the HAWKS And Buff slap to the head of Shaw well he was down was the last straw - oldduffman
If your speaking of the last game against the Jets in Winnipeg...the Hawks won that contest 4-3....but it was a strange year with 5 games, road team wins them all. |

Buff was being an idiot late in the year...he was a clown in that last game against the Hawks, and then got the suspension.
Perhaps he feels he needs to prove something? - ArlingtonRob
Tonight he punched Perry in the back of the head right after Perry scored on a clean play. Buff has turned into an a$$hole, and the league could easily suspend him for the shot to Perry if they want to send him a message.

Its Perry. I am sure he did something sneaky and dirty to deserve it. |

So you're suggesting ...
1. The Hawks are upset with Crawford for getting hurt at a concert, so...
2. The Hawks are now playing poorly in front of him as "punishement", which...
3. Will result in the team losing in the playoffs.
IOW the Blackhawks are hurting themselves as a team to punish Crawford for his midseason stupidity.
Do you hang out with powerenforcer?
If this were true I would want everyone implicated in this conspiracy removed from the roster. - ArlingtonRob
I am not saying its a conspiracy - something happened that afternoon in Boston. It was a little strange that same day - after the doors were shut to the media for almost and hour, Stan Bowman went into the locker room - which he never does, the players were still sitting there in uniform and had nothing to say to the media, and that night, Darling was recalled and given a two year contract extension.
Since this time, the team has not played as well in front of Crawford as they do with Darling.
This is an observation - and it seems too quirky to be a coincidence. |

Crawford put this team on his back down the stretch, and without him this group wouldn't be collecting an extra check for making the tournament. As far as I'm concerned, each guy in that room owes CC half their playoff share. |

Tradition that dates back to old Jets...not sure of the details regarding to origin.
Found this at Wiki...
"The Winnipeg Whiteout is a hockey tradition that dates back to 1987 when fans of the original Jets franchise were asked to wear white clothing to home playoff games, creating a very intimidating effect and atmosphere. It was created as a response to the "C of Red" created by fans of the Calgary Flames, whom the Jets were facing in the first round of the 1987 Stanley Cup Playoffs. - ArlingtonRob[35] The Jets eliminated the Flames in six games, and fans wore white for every home playoff game thereafter."
You got it. I remember the "C" of red in the Saddledome. Talked with a few locals when I was up there for both the '88 Winter games and the '89 Campbell Conf Finals. They found it amazing the Jets fans went out and did that. |

Speaking of which - was there even a hearing about Rubeiro's punch of Shaw on the bench? |

Well it was Shaw, you have to believe he's not as innocent as he looked. |

I started to notice a few things post 2010 cup in regards to Buff. He isnt about what the NHL wants him to be. He is going to play, make his money and go back to fish in the offseason. If you were to ask me if Buff really loves the game I would question it. I honestly dont think he cares. He has a cup, and was never this undisciplined in CHicago.
After the Cup victory, he was at very few of the Hawks celebratory events, Wrigley, Us Cellular Cup celebration, etc. Granted he just got done getting the poop kicked out of him for a month and a half but most the guys were there and I just started to notice that he really doesnt care about bettering the sport. Just an observation, cant say I blame him for it. |

How is it ok - no matter the provocation - to punch someone - on the bench - in the face?
That's not hockey - not a "hockey play" - that's WWF crap. If you're ok with that, you can't criticize Byfuglien, Backes, Jackman, Hitchcock for any of their actions. At least they pull their crap to skaters on the ice.
If you can't stop that - and apparently the league is ok with it - you'll never stop any of the face washes and other post-whistle action - and the sport will continue to play down to its "meat-headiest" fans and will continue to be a joke sport to most.
There are few bigger topics. |

And it could be something else? He's completing year 1 of a 5-year, $4.1M AAV contract; quite possibly the best team-friendly deal over that term in the NHL. You're reading way too much into this. He took a 29% gainer in only 5 years on a 7-figure property. Good-for-him. |

He's in more of a leadership role with this team than he was withe the 'Hawks. He's also leaded upon much more with the PEG than he was with the 'Hawks; not that he was insignificant here in ChiTown.
I could see your reasoning on whether or not he loves what he's doing. To us it appears he goes about things very nonchalantly. He took advantage of what the Thrash was going to throw his way, like any player would do. To me he's just not the leader I think folks want him to be. |

I know you guys love to pile on Blues fans up in hur...
Just know that I curse the Walmart heirresses and their husbands every time I see Quenneville make a ballsy call for this team.
Quenneville was a stud coach for the Blues just like he is for the Hawks now... |

Shhh! Don't post stuff like that in here. There are some internet coaches who are rooting for Q's demise so they can take the team to true glory. |
