Ummm, no, I mean sure to a degree, but Crawford bollocksed up a lot of stuff on his own on the way to 9 goals in 4 periods. - John Jaeckel
Has anyone - other than me - thought that maybe this team just doesn't support Crawford as much as they do Darling - and it goes back to when Crawford hurt his foot at that concert??
I also wonder just what happened after that Boston game - when Bowman went into the closed locker room. It just seems there has been a disconnect with the Hawks d-men when Crawford is in the game as opposed to when Darling is playing since that game. Does anyone think Crawford may have said something that caused some animosity??

But would the D try to sabotage them winning the cup because of it? I just don't see it. |

How about Gump Worsley? Played without a mask, but wouldn't fly on planes. - John Jaeckel
Forgot about that one with the Gumper, hilarious.
One of my favourites was Gary 'Suitcase' Smith. After one game with Vancouver he took off the pads and walked out of the dressing room with his skates and rest of his uniform on to his car and drove home. 'I didn't realize how tough driving was with skates on." |

I have no clue why the D don't support Crawford the way the do the backups, but it's been pretty obviously the case. To be honest, I've kind of thought that since he inked that $6M salary deal. If they resent him -- for whatever reason -- it doesn't necessarily follow that it's a "conscious" effort to "sabotage" him. Could be something similar to a combat situation, where a soldier will go all out to rescue a close friend, but will give a more "human" effort if it's a stranger or someone they don't feel a bond with.
Nobody ever notice how CC can't get a SO to save his life? A hideous deflection, a late period D brain fart, etc? Pro hockey players are as human as anyone else.
I could be absolutely wrong about it, but it's my take on that situation, anyway. |

Not me, not at all. I do think however all skaters focus more on team defence when Darling is in there - Raanta too - as opposed to CC. Not that they're abandoning CC but trust him and take more chances offencively. In essence, they "know" CC has their backs. Also, don't forget, this team was struggling on offence most of the season. |

So you're suggesting ...
1. The Hawks are upset with Crawford for getting hurt at a concert, so...
2. The Hawks are now playing poorly in front of him as "punishement", which...
3. Will result in the team losing in the playoffs.
IOW the Blackhawks are hurting themselves as a team to punish Crawford for his midseason stupidity.
Do you hang out with powerenforcer?
If this were true I would want everyone implicated in this conspiracy removed from the roster. |

Whats the logic behind the whiteout? Seems weird for everyone to wear white when the opposing team is wearing white... |

Tradition that dates back to old Jets...not sure of the details regarding to origin.
Found this at Wiki...
"The Winnipeg Whiteout is a hockey tradition that dates back to 1987 when fans of the original Jets franchise were asked to wear white clothing to home playoff games, creating a very intimidating effect and atmosphere. It was created as a response to the "C of Red" created by fans of the Calgary Flames, whom the Jets were facing in the first round of the 1987 Stanley Cup Playoffs.[35] The Jets eliminated the Flames in six games, and fans wore white for every home playoff game thereafter." |

I wonder if Buff will be sitting out a few more games after his take down of Perry (who deserves it anyway) after his goal? |

I'm old enough to remember the original Jets...and I look forward to the return of the Quebec Nordiques. That was an outstanding rivalry with the Habs. |

I take it back.
I used to have a soft spot for the Jets, until they acted like poopheads the last time we played them and then whined like little female doges afterwards. |

Didn't Hitch and the captain light a fire under them?
Or are they being beaten by a better team? |
