The only thing that sucks is that of all teams, the Oilers won it. And their fans have the audacity to say "at least we didnt tank like Buffalo and Arizona". Losing 20 of 21 games in November to December, scoring less goals than last year, giving up more goals than last year, FAILING to improve your point total from last year on a team that has THREE 1st overall picks... yeah thats not a tanking team.

The Sabres didnt tank. I may joke about the word and got behind it, but the Sabres are in a legit rebuild. Set in motion 3 years ago. Where the roster turnover was so great, only 4 NHL players survived -- Tyler Ennis, Marcus Foligno, Mike Weber and Patrick Kaleta.

The Coyotes can sort of be looked at as a tank in a sense. They were 2 points out of the playoffs last year and finished with 33 points less this year. They were bad the entire year though.

The Oilers are ran by incompetent management and the players are in a toxic environment. Its pathetic that a team with 3 former 1st overalls is still picking in the top 3 three to five years later.

Toronto, now if any team in the league this year tanked, it was Toronto. 11th in league standings on January 1st, 90% chance to make the playoffs and they plummeted down to 27th in the standings. THAT was a nice tank job.

But it's oh so satisfying knowing they didn't tank early enough in the season, and now they are at least 2 years behind us in terms of a rebuild. That team is is a complete mess.

Yes he's counting Drew Stafford, who has been more impressive than Evander Kane was this season. A guy who they very well could resign and score 20+ goals for them

yup...agreed...would like to wait a year or two before judging the trade...to me, it was a hockey trade...murray did take a gamble, but the reward could be great
