I wasn't a fan or a hater of the deal. There were parts I liked and parts I didn't like. As I've said in the past, this is a deal that is at least 3yrs away from being able to come out with a clear idea of win, lose, or draw.

No I don't expect him to say that, because Eichel is almost as good at hockey as McDavid is.

There are so many variables. If Risto/Zads turn out, and Kane scores 30 plus, then kudos, we will be fine. However if in 2 years we are looking for a point producing top pairing D man, and Myers is in the Peg putting up 40+, while Lemieux is slotted on their 3rd line it might look real bad.

Late first round pick is 3-5 years from impacting NHL if it ever will

Myers is real good and I didn't like getting rid of him, but we did need a capable 1st line winger. If Murray thinks Kane can fit that role (and he knows better than any of us) then I'll wait and see.

Bogosian isn't too far behind Myers overall ability (admittedly he won't be putting up the points that Myers will though).

Pat Roy may see value in Grigorenko. He has shown improvement & another year in the AHL might do the trick.

Issue is he can not be sent down without 1st needing to clear waivers. Something I highly doubt a team is willing to do. It just isn't worth the risk.
