I know the lotto wasn't rigged but they basically rigged it with this %crap a year before this draft! They knew what they were doing! I didn't think I'd be this pissed with Edmonton getting him but after thinking about it I'm even more pissed!!!! No team not even Buffalo deserves 4 f'ing first overall picks in 6 years. After also having the greatest hockey player that will ever live

That is ridiculous! Why I think the NBA lotto is a joke. Look at Cleveland... Even though they traded all their first overalls to get Kevin Love. The point is I'm SICK AND TIRED OF LOSING! We can't eve win at losing! It's absurd I have no idea what piece of shi* did to the sports gods or karma. But I can't take anymore of this hope ripping pain. Every year its something different with Buffalo sports. We ALWAYS get our hopes up and always lose at EVERYTHING!

I'm looking forward to Eichel and wanted to get excited and I'm sure I will in a day or so but when the first things my GM says is I feel bad for the fans that just pisses me off even more. I'm sick of having to feel bad for myself as a fan. I like Eichel and think he will have a great career but I'm sorry if he's not in the top 10 consistently in points in the NHL in 3 years this rebuild is a failure. You don't come in DEAD last two years in a row and not come away with a top 10 NHL player in a few years. I don't except him to be that good to start but he better be top 10 good. Better than Getzlaf better than Towes better than Seguin the only guys that should be better than him are Crosby, Ovechkin Kane and McDavid. Only way this will sit well with me

Great player doesn't cut it. I want one of the best ten players in the league. Briere was great Miller was great. How many cups did that get us?? We need incredible and ultra elite not just great.

those penguins teams without Crosby wouldn't have won a single cup. Ditto Blackhawks without Kane or Towes. Sure they'd be good competitive teams but not Stanley cup champs. That's what happens when you have a top 5 player in the league

I really could see us trying to trade for the 1st overall. Were really the only team that can do it..I don't think the drop off between the first two picks is THAT big.

I've seen him compared to Giourx, Getzlaf and I think I saw maybe as good as Taveres. None of those guys with the exception of John himself are as good as Kane Stamkos with the ability to take over a game. Both are in top ten likely and as I said I except Eichel to be a top ten player every year after a few seasons in the NHL. Maybe now that we know where he's going analysts will call him elite but I've heard perennial all star and top centerman for a contending team that's great and all but when you have the chance at the next Gresky and you lose it to a team that all ready reaped the benefits of having the great one multiple times it leaves a sour taste in your mouth. Like the Colts drafting Peyton then getting Luck. It's not like their fan base and organization hasn't had its fair share of historical success. Plus I watched that Gretsky 30/30. Any team that f's up keeping the greatest player ever doesn't deserve a chance at getting potentially the next greatest player ever.
