As I said, I won't argue the old regime. Wed have guys in their primes now, but had too many misses.
But that has nothing to do with the players drafted and developing now.

I don't think the oilers are gonna immediately move away from being one of the least desirable free agent destinations until they start winning.
Maybe sign a decent guy, but still overpay for him.

What the pick does is give us the opportunity to trade for a much needed asset from a position of strength. And with a valuable asset.

We were sorta cornered into waiting on nurse and klefbom or try and rip off a cap strapped team. Or deal one of the core and create a different hole. But that just changed abit

Nurse is as bluechip as they come. But now if we can get an immediate impact defender, we can hold off on rushing him. ( already been sent back twice- so shouldn't be too long either way. And I'm loving klefbom )

if we would have ended up on three I would have to take the year off from the NHLand that's no joke I don't think I can handle those two players being in NHL and I have to watch them skate circles around us I would just be so jealous
