I know they had the best odds. Car had a chance at the end too. Out of Tor, car, Edm I'd prefer Edm if it wasn't going to be us. I don't need McDavid blocking us in the east. He can go out west.

It's a disappointing night but nothing in comparison to a 29th place finish with Edm winning the lottery. It's easy to forget why we needed 30 so bad. It was always about Eichel.

You would think that's always been the case, I imagine the lottery has been held this same way - viewed by team reps - the only difference this year is they recorded it to show the actual draw at a later time
