I reckon that is an understatement. I know when they were talking to him and he was keeping it well under control. But when they talked to him afterwards he looked like he couldn't get out of there fast enough.

I personally think blaming it on management is an easy answer without alot of understanding what mact took over 2 seasons ago ad the realities he had to deal with to improve the squad .

What I'm saying is no team in the NHL will take your players and give you a fair return. None of them. You will be stuck losing games 6-5 for the next few years still and your defense will drag your team down for years to come.

I repeat, NO team in the NHL is going to do your team any favours now, least of all trading you any defense man in return for your badly developed, underachieving forwards and allow you to come anywhere close to becoming a powerhouse.

I am actually glad the Sabres lost. The guy in second place always has a bigger chip on his shoulder and wants to prove everyone wrong.

Having FIOS, I no longer get CBC so I miss the second game on Hockey night in Canada. I will by the NHL Ticket next year to watch McDavid in Edmonton next year because I have always enjoyed watching them.

No slight to Edmonton, but playing in the Northeast has to be more appealing than playing on the west coast. I have a felling Eichel is going to like that and will not be going back to college to start trying to prove a point.

Here is to hoping that the Oilers and Sabres meet in the playoffs...

I'm honestly just as excited at the options it opens up for us.

I watched a lot of the Oilers in the 2nd half of the season. They are going to score 5 goals a game with McDavid. Their D is young, but talented. They need an upgrade in net and they can compete for a spot.

It seems tottally unfair that edmonton gets him, but oh well it would have hurt way more if the Leafs got him. I'm happy with Eichel he fits perfect as the 1C with the style of team Murray is building
