I don't think McDavid will make much difference in Edmonton and badly run franchise, getting another number 1 pick won't change. I feel sorry for McDavid, Eichel goes to Buffalo and he gets to be reasonably close to where he has grown up playing not the boondocks.

I am not angry or jealous about losing the number 1 pick, Edmonton given then had 3 1 picks in the last 5 years should not have even been included in the draft.

Eichel, Reinhart, Girgensons will be amazing 1,2,3 centers for the next 5-10 years. Although I am disappointed we've had to suffer through this garbage for the past 2 seasons and NOT win the lottery, I have to say I can't wait for the puck to drop in October

The Oilers were kind of in a corner waiting on nurse, klefbom, maybe brossoit etc etc.

It's true for multiple of reasons.

It would make the Sabres Leaf rivalry that much better. The Leafs are in fact a money making machine with a bad team, put him there they turn it around and make even more money. Making even more money means the cap will go up and we have an owner with deep pockets that will spend. It makes the most sense if you look at it.

I personally think blaming it on management is an easy answer without alot of understanding what mact took over 2 seasons ago ad the realities he had to deal with to improve the squad .
